Hey Lou,
Just put water in the pot and watch it grow. But make sure its well draining soil and dont overwater and dont... oh wait. Just water it! LOL
New blooms today
lou,
i'm not sure what the plant is with purple leaves or the one with blue flowers, but they are not plumeria. that's odd that it was labeled plumeria.
Lou,
Don't start out running. You need to learn how to walk. Be kind to yourself and get a Celadine. They are hardy and bloom non stop.
Mickey
I see what looks like a Iris and the purple is a common plant we use down here to plant around trees where they get shade and sun..
I can't remember the name of it sorry..

Ok i don't normally get fired up on forums..
After some friends left here awhile ago and then this post came up i thought you were one of those peeps from the other forums causing trouble..
Your post had no Lol or Haha,Hehe in it so i took it as a attack..
Daves has been the DMZ for many of us and like everyone in here said it is really friendly..
I spent alot of time writing lots of info for everyone in here because i want to share what i know from trials and errors..
I just took your reply as a slap in the face so allow me to say sorry for being a ARSE!
I really shouldn't post such trees in defense because i don't want to discourage any new growers in here who might think twice before posting their stuff..
This is why plumie lovers come here to share and learn and they don't need peeps like me to scare them off..
Sorry to all my plumie pals here for exposing you to the dark side of the plumie world!
I am no expert, but a lifetime of growing has left me with some retained information, accidentally if nothing else.

What is DMZ please?
Demilitarized Zone!
..sorry 13 years in the military it's hard not to talk in shorthand!
Post your sticks with blooms regardless of their size, I'm in zone 5 and can never compete with you southerners so I don't feel intimidated at all and certainly not discouraged. I just want to try my hand at a few tropicals and have some fun along the way. If they die as my Tacca have all died, oh well. I'll just order more and try again. Sooner or later I'll enjoy a few successes... hopefully sooner than later.
LouC, please try a Plumeria with me and LeSnow. What's the worse case scenario? It dies?
I'll have to go out and show all of you big stick people off by posting a photo of MY Plumeria in the next few days. It's big, it's bad, it's all of 6" but it's still alive with one little leaf on top! I think the leaf grew a little bit but it could just be wishful thinking!
The blue flower could be Plumbago. The purple flower looks somewhat like Ornamental Purple Basil, but I am not positive.
LouC, I think your purple plant is some variety of Perilla: http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/85584/
Your blue flowered plant may be Ceratostigma plumbaginoides: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/876/index.html
Edited for spelling ;-)

So sorry that I offended anyone. That is the problem with "email" there is no way to add inflection and the hard print on paper does not always convey the true meaning. It just sounded so difficult with the precise additive to the soil and I am not very scientific....just a little MG potting soil and water and then pray for God's goodness. My picture was definitely confusing. The small blue flower was the question. Have had it 3 springs now and it spreads and blooms beautifully with no help at all.
I took the link and it is Ceratostigma plumbaginoides. Thank you so much for the help. I have a little plaque above my desk that says:
Lord, Keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth."
Maybe I should take that to mean watch what I type as well.
Off to work.
LouC

Beautiful Lou!
I ended up over here looking for help with my Plumeria pudica cuttings. I received good sound advice and I also have a few sites bookmarked that will be of help in the future. Thank you very much Clare. I think I'll go back to my regular forums too and me and Loren can compare notes on our cuttings in d-mail.
Best wishes to all you Plumeria lovers.
Lauren
Nice job Lauren I find it much harder, and takes longer to root center cuttings.
Still wishing this thread would die and still waiting to escape...Lauren, it looks to me like those two rooted cuttings planted together are in a pot which is much too big, and the mix looks like it is not fast-draining. I would repot in separate individual one-gallon containers in a well-draining mix and then repot to five-gallon containers next year. Overpotting is the easiest way to cause root rot if that pot is as big as I think it is. You'll have to scoop beneath the individual root systems. They may be starting to get tangled together so some root breakage will occur. These get to be trees so planting two together is generally not a good idea. Here is Luc from Florida Colors and one of his Pudicas.
