Make room for me too Andy!
Maybe DG is trying to get people to read old threads??? They must have huge servers to store all these files.
Daily Musings - page 13
Easy now, that was the only one I picked that day. The third for the season. Give it a week or 2, then I'll get tired of picking, cleaning, freezing and giving them away. lol.
I still have a couple bags of last years in the freezer. Strawberry pancakes anyone????
How about French Toast with strawberry glaze.
Andy P
Me! Me! Me! That looks sooooo good!
Those strawberries look luscious!
Celeste, Good luck to you & your husband! What a tough time you've had.
I'm away for a few days and suddenly Kassia is Victor's aunt? How did this happen?
AND, Kassia wants to marry her sisters?? Don't you know that's illegal?
Our priest married us. Man it's crowded in the bathroom.
My first wife's cousin married us. It may have been illegal.
Your first wife's first cousin? Is that like the party of the first part?
She didn't like to party in any part.
And that's why you parted??
partly
I'd like to see you two have at each other in person. In my head you sound like Abbott & Costello, or maybe two Danny Kayes. But could you come up with the snappy repartee fast enough in real time? Inquiring minds want to know.
xx, Carrie
Victor and Dave - have you guys ever met each other person to person?
In real time?? Check the time stamps of my responses. Often they are real time!! No, Eleanor, we have not met.
Which brings me to ask, are y'all going to the NE roundup?
Victor, dahlink, I checked the time stamps before I wrote that! And 10:20 and 10:25, which I agree is very fast, faster than I can type for sure, is not the same as 10:20:00 and 10:20:25, which I think is what real time would be like. ?
Now, Harper, when is the NE Roundup, where is it, and why wasn't I informed?
xxx, Carrie
One was 10:41 and my response 10:43. That's just enough time for me to read and type (never learned to type - I hunt and peck - on the keyboard that is). That's as close to real-time chat as is possible with DG and my internet speed. Keep in mind I am reading other threads after posting. Maybe there are people who wait breathlessly for a response to his/her post - I'm not one of them.
When / where is the Roundup??
Back from the hospital, surgery went fairly well. It took them 3 hrs istead of the 2 they had hoped for. Doctor Wexler had a hard time getting the old screw out, it had been there for 30 yrs.
Here's a picture of the Birthday Boy yesterday. Doesn't look like he's having a very good time does he? Notice the loyal dog on the bed? That's Jake, he won't leave Daddy's side, he stays by him 24hrs. a day minus those few minutes to pee.
Jake is a good boy. And it's good to see the remote in DH's hand! Praying for a speedy and sucessful recovery.
Yes, we all hope your DH is up to his usual tricks again soon!
WHEN AND WHERE IS THIS BLOOMING ROUND-UP? I thought Round-up was a very potent weed-killer?
xxx, Carrie
It's at Kassia's in the Fall - I think. Kassia?
Yes, I think it's at Kassia's. Ho-hum. The fall? You mean I still have to wait all summer? Bummer. Carrie, somebody decided to name DG get togethers "Roundup". Maybe it's a Texas thing.
Celeste, awwww! He looks like he's ready to be active again.
Good news Celeste. Please give him my best and hopes for a speedy recovery. What's with the life-long hardware? Did the doc have a problem because he was using a Flathead on a Phillips??
I said the same thing about 'Roundup' a couple of weeks ago. You would think gardeners, of all people, would come up with something else instead of the name of a product that kills everything!! But yes, Dave (not ours - the DG one) is a Texan.
Maybe they don't have weeds, pi, etc. in Texas?? Eleanor
If there's no weeds in Texas, I'm moving there!!
I attended the dedication of a healing garden at our hospital tonight. I have been watching them build it for the last year as I have gone to and from my doctors office which is in the building next to it. It was a beautiful thing. Here are pictures of some of the plants that were put in. I will enjoy seeing this garden mature.
Martha
Very nice Martha. I'm a big believer in hort therapy.
I am off to the Upper Midwest Roundup Saturday - I hope that's OK - I won't be able to make it to the NE one this fall.
Have fun Al! Put in a good word for the NE.
No, Victor and I don't even know each other on DG very long. It is fun though! There was a thread a few weeks back where we simultaneously drove one of you crazy. I was amazed at how similar the cross-postings were. And it was clear we are both hunt & peck guys.
Good luck Celeste. The big step is done.
That is nice Martha.
WHAT?!!!! you're not coming to our roundup? You traitor!
Dave, Victor, Al too. Y'all are funny.
Thank you! (And in the right order too.)
I made the top 3 - barely I'm sure.
I am totally full on plants here, I take as many as I can fit in the van and will be picking ones out for other people.
Oh Roundups are giveaways too?!! Didn't know that. When is the NE one? I hope I can make it.
Sorry - and thanks to all. It is fun when we get going! Wish I could type faster!
Victor - usually plant swaps are included. I will include this as an example
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/729542/
what are you sorry for?LOL
Thanks Al - nice variety of plants. There should be some type of competition to win the plants!!
I was sorry that I did not say thanks in the previous post.
What roundup? When! Where! I am ready!
Martha
