Here we go again.
We are coming from http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/721528/
Do you have something to say that is of little relevance to the 'big picture'?
Post away.

Andy, really neat pics! Your last one on the other thread...the way the droplets line up on the upper right is just cool.
Regarding getting lost - I went to a conference in Washington two summers ago with Diane, a bio-medical engineer. I never bothered to learn anything about the "lay of the land." This woman had a natural gift for direction and three-dimensional thought. She NEVER gets lost - it's like her brain is on permanent Map-Quest. And apparently, she has been able to do this since she was a child. Her parents relied on her to get them wherever they were going.
There were thirty at this conference. We just followed Diane, she would never lead us astray, no matter how far from Howard University we roamed, or how many busses we took, etc. Truly amazing.
that's a gift I'd like to have. I have no sense of direction at all. I've even tried going in the opposite direction from what my sense tells me and even that turns out to be wrong. I can't even fool it.
A friend of mine took my camera outside and with the "point-and-shoot" method, took the crystal clear shots of my seedlings I'd been hoping for. Not beautiful or artistic, but at least clear. My pix are all coming out fuzzy lately. She didn't use any different settings, but suggested that my focus problem might have to do with shaky hands. Very likely, with Multiple Sclerosis and all, but I hate to admit it. Are there tripods? Is it worth the effort?

Cute baby lupin. I would think a good photo store would be able to sell you a tripod.
Jan, You reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George realizes his instincts are dead wrong and begins to do the opposite. That was sooo funny.
OK, tripod is on the list. A "reasonable accomodation" if there other was one.
I don't know if I planted lupins.

Who knew that water droplets could be so pretty!! Beautiful photo's!
I love the chives - I think it is such a nice plant!
Andy, what spectacular close ups! Do you have a microscope attached to your camera? I can almost see amoebas and cells.
Pixie, I didn't get to comment, cute DS and DSGF prom shot.
Beautiful shot of your seedling Carrie. I like it.
I also love your chives Yankee. Mine are budding, but not blooming yet.
Harper
No - there's only one design. They are not new. I have one from last year. He's clearing them out and will offer a new design. That's why they are so cheap now.
I'd like to get myself one of those shirts. Or I gotta get me one!
Men can wear pink with no trouble now, Pixie, get with the times!
xxxx, Carrie
What were they charging for them? I paid $8 and they don't come in small so now have a nightshirt unless I can shrink it!
Don't remember what I paid but it was something like $15. As fir the pink flowers, have to say I really feel a surge of testosterone and an incredible urge to slaughter something when I have it on. And I get lots if flirting, especially when it's paired with something smart and understated.
Is the something smart and understated purple in color??
Depends on my mood.
Victor: "and I get lots if flirting"? What were you trying to say?
pixie, here's my forget-me-nots. When my daughter was little, she used to call them "don't forgets". they sort of escaped the bed. They are next to my Jacob's ladder and blue cadet hosta. the flowers in this bed all turned out to be blue. I bought the Jacob's ladder for the variegated foliage. i didn't even know what color it would be. I have a pulmonaria further up out of the picture that just finished blooming for over 6 weeks. also blue. I love it when a non-plan comes together!
Martha
Glad to hear you are feeling better, Martha :-)
Thanks. The garden starting to bloom nicely has helped a great deal! Also, the sun coming out has been a plus.
We were out your way in Amherst picking up my daughter's stuff from UMass last Sunday, Seandor.
Except for having to clean out under her bed in the dorm, it was a nice trip.
Martha
I I love forget-me-nots. Furthermore, I'm unforgettable, so there you go.
Who are you?
Martha, blue is my favorite color so I love your little "non-planned" garden. My DGD calls them "blue baby flowers" because they are so small....she thinks they must be babies.
Here's a neighbors tree in bloom. I think it's a flowering Crab but im not positive. She wasn't home so I could ask her but I took the picture anyways.
I had some news last night......I'm going to be a Grandmother again come Christmas time!! I'm hoping for a GS as I have 2 beautiful GD already. As long as it's healthy I take what ever I get!
Congratulations, Pixie!
