can anyone ID this plant ? it is growing in our yard ? not sure what it is? if a weed i want to get rid of it! if not i will find a place for them. thanks in advance

Hi CHOPSINsc, I would say it is Barley or something like that, I know I often get things like this popping where I have had my bird feeder or perhaps a bird has dropped it when it rested in your yard, if you like it, why throw it out, keep it till it is ready to set seed and then get rid of ot, I know in UK we cut the stems off and dry them to use in flower decorations, you can even spray them for exmas dec's.
