Here is a picture of my mother's day gift. Edgar (hubby) came up with the design, made a 3D model on his computer and went and bought the wood. We worked on it last weekend and this weekend. The only thing left to do is attach chicken wire all the way around it. Last year I lost over 70 ears of corn to those little tree rats (otherwise known as squirrels). After we install the chicken wire and a little walkway under the door, I will till the soil and plant my veggies!!!!!!
Edgar is going to attach a soaker hose to the ceiling so that the all I have to do is turn on the hose and let it spray!!!!
I am SO excited!!!!!

My Mother's day gift!!!
That is so cool! I want one! I haven't had animal problems but I still want one!
Thanks, Ves! I can't wait until we install the chicken wire. I'll take another picture this weekend once we do that.
I'm with Ves....I don't have critter problems or even the space for something like that, lol, but that is awesome! You're gonna make us all so jealous! :-)
You must post pics of the finished product!

That design should win some type of award! Is there a garden mechanical engineering award? Or tree rat protection award? He deserves something. Please do post photos after the wire is up and...most importantly.....after the garden is growing.
Debra
I will do just that!
WOW - that's almost as big as my house! Edgar does deserve an award of some sort. Maybe an ear of corn?
It would be neat in early spring covered with plastic to use as a greenhouse!
Can hardly wait to see the next picture!
