Hi, I am new to Florida gardening. I've purchased beautiful golden shrimp plants. I would like to know the care of them. Watering I know, but when the white part of the plants start to fall off, the yellow part doesn't seem
very nice looking, do I smip these?. If so, do I just snip the yellow off or do I snip further down the stem (stalk)? Thank you, Joanne
Golden Shrimp Plants
Is this the plant you have?

She might mean these:

I have these plants also: the Pachystachys lutea : [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com] and I have brought them in for the winter. Last year when I took them back out, they bloomed fine, but all was on existing stems. I was told by me garden store that they think I need to cut them back to 6-8 inches now, and they will be bushier and rejuvenated in the spring.
The key work for me in her explanation was "thinks". Does anyone know the best way to overwinter these plants and to produce bushier plants in the spring?
