How many points do you need Victor? I think I have some I probably won't be using.

A whole #@&*/@! lot!!!!! :)
Yeah, except I'm one of those moms that thinks breastfeeding in public should be allowed. We can refrain from swearing and there's no harm done, but if the baby doesn't get fed, that's a problem. When I was breast feeding my son, I'd just cover up with one of his towels. Problem solved.... well, until he was old enough to pull my shirt up on his own. I had to fix that one fast! LOL

I don't disagree with your approach to the breastfeeding issue at all, Sofonisba. To irradicate even the notion that babys get hungry and that mothers make milk that feeds and nurishes them from the public sphere would be perverse.
That would be like a gardener not coming to grips with the true nature of a flower!
HAHAHAH I breast fed both my babies - the first for 11 months and the second for 15 months. I did it anywhere, anyplace, anytime - and most people never suspected a thing. :-) I would have people rant for half an hour about the inappropriateness of nursing in public - and I would be nursing right in front of them! It's why nice grandmas knit lacy shawls for babies.
I know this is a controversial topic, but I wholeheartedly support nursing moms and their partners.
Have you ever wondered why a bird takes a bath on a rainy day?
OK, I think nursing is great and it's not hard to be discreet. I couldn't nurse much myself; one weak sucker due to being early, the other because my pediatrician was neurotic about every gram she gained (or didn't) and me being a wimp.
Dave, hi. Welcome. I agree with the policy about profanity. It's not hard to say darn or drat. I expect clean language of my kids and myself offline. I don't consider 'wicked pissah' to be profane. But that was a thread that every single person here read.
And I'm sorry to hurt your feelings. There is no other garden site that could take the place of davesgarden in my heart and in my life.

Did it fall on your property?
No, it's at the old Mead paper mill. We have had some wind, but no storms - it was weak I think.
Wow - good thing nobody was walking by at the time. I guess someone heard it or it would not have fallen, right?
Cute! Started when the woman didn't hear the apple warning.
I thought it was when Adam wouldn't ask for directions.
So I always hear Michael J. Fox's squeeky voice saying Mallory ;)
I have stopped to ask for directions - usually the people know less than you do about where you are going. Have you ever given anyone wrong directions and realize it later - I know I have.LOL
I did to my wife but she keeps finding her way home.
According to my wife it's amazing I can get anywhere without her 'helping'
She often tells me where to go.
Al - long ago we got directions from a gathering of fellows outside of a very rural pub in Ireland. They never gave us any idea of the length of time to get to the village in question but eventually we found it - "just passed the big stone wall - you can't miss it".
Victor - you'd be lost without her.
Al - I meant my wife of course!
Pirl - I've heard that, but never seen it. Where'd you get it?
My DH was not from Boston, but he knows it better than I do, On the other hand, he says he knows his way to places "by instinct" that he's been to once, then gets us lost, won't ask directions, gggrrrrrrr and drives me nuts.

It was in a shop window in Bar Harbor, Maine.
I've gotten lost in Boston with my father and then, years later, with DH - over the same bridge time after time.
This was like the VFW hall in Melrose, or the Junior HS in somewhere, NJ. You mean you didn't buy it? Just looked at it? Actually, I don't usually wear shirts with sayings on them. I would have bought it for my DH! LOL.
What were you doing in Bar Harbor? And do you know where the Omega Center in Rhinebeck NY is?
xxxx, Carrie
I buy very few with sayings on them but do take lots of photos of them in store windows.
We were on vacation in Maine. I don't even know where Rhinebeck is! Maybe up on the Hudson River?
Beautiful.
Andy, I love that you drop by with a great photo and cut thru the nonsense.
BTW, I've started page 13 ~ http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/725211/
See ya there.
