Need Help Identifying a lily

Lumberton, NC(Zone 8a)

I have lilies that grow in my yard. I have never seen them anywhere else. I know these are very old. When they come up from the ground, they have leaves like think grass. Then a shoot comes up and it looks like a Q-Tip. It opens and it has about 5 petals ( light pink). I know it is a lily , but I am sure it is not a hybrid if I am correct in believing hybrids are changed plants. They propagate like wild. They used to come in waves all over the yard having been unlived in for 11 years. This was my grandmother's home. Since mowing has killed the leaves , they have cut back. I am moving them to other locations and saving a two foot strip I will not allow my husband to mow. If you think you might know the name of this flower, please let me know. I can take a picture when they come up. They do not last long. A day or two and they are gone. Well worth it.

Thank you

It sounds like they are daylilies. Lat.name: Hemerocallis

Those leaves like thick grass. Do they bloom like crazy after it rains? Could be rain lilies.Zephranthes maybe. Some are native here.
