what's your latest and coolest online purchase?

I bought a school bus on ebay last year. It was painted black and used as a prison bus. Flew a friend up to Ohio to fetch it and drive it back to Florida. So far, we have used it twice to move some of my stuff and some of my sister's stuff up to this "new" home for us. One more trip, maybe 2, and we'll give the bus to the man who fetched it and has been helping us get moved. He's converting it to a RV. We figure we saved about $6,000 by not renting U-Hauls for the many trips.

gloria...we did a buy it now....and then drove 4 hours to get the car....; it is sort of an unwritten thing that if something is not right then you don't go thru with the sale....; we got there ...test drove the car...then bought it..; it ended up being good for both sides....; i think in a way it is like buying from an indivdual when you buy a car from them....; you ask alot of questions ...test drive...ask more questions and pray that they are truthful...and have sort of a gut feeling that what you are getting is going to be fine....; on ebay you have ebay to sort of back you in that you can leave bad feedback, you can get SOME of your bucks back...(i am not sure of the dollar amounts on big purchases...but on small purchases i have gotten full refunds when a seller was selling bad stuff) if you buy something from someone off ebay...off the street..you don't have alot of recourse except thru court.:)

I was shopping at an on-line wallpaper store the other day and noticed this 1955 Ford truck amongst the miscellaneous items.

Best Purchase: 14' Zodiac inflatable dinghy in pristine condition. Then found a little 2 stroke motor to go with it. We toss this in the back of the pickup on our camping trips and fish and scuba dive to our hearts content. Came all the way from Maine to Louisiana. I'm not an E-bayer, but DH is. When I said "Hon, we need an inflatable dinghy", well...'nuff said. I was VERY against this purchase on Ebay. I'm singing a different tune now!

Ebay does have a-lot of interesting and neat things you just have to look, and if you got the time then you WILL find what your looking for. Just be careful there is A-LOT of crooks out there and will not blink twice as to take advantage of you. So if your careful you can find alot of interesting things.
