You know,
this seems to be an insane year for spiders...we have them everywhere!
You are very very sweet...but I am hoping to maybe place a larger order...soon...when i don't have other things I have to buy first! LOL
Best thing/worse thing and what did you learn today????
Thank you for the very good advice, Betty, about making the most of time together. Good advice. Hope you're feeling a little better.
Hi y'all
Okay, let's see ... I wish I could say the best thing that had happened today was that we had finally gotten rain, but we still haven't had a drop. :-( Soooo, I'll tell you the best thing that happened. We had senior's appreciation day at church today, and it was awesome with testimonies. It was a lovely day. :-)
The worse thing that happened was I found out that I had an uninvited visitor in my garden. I got a picture and thought I'd post. See it right there in front of my Italian parsley?
Looks like he came and left the evidence Elaine. I am sure that skin is compostable.
best today: slept in late and didn't feel guilty
worst: lots of work ahead for the 'household breaking up yard sale'
learned: I have lots of stuff I don't need
*groan*
what a day.... i work for the most aweful people who make me feel like I'm nothing... I tell ya... the bad get worse and dont seem to reap anything because of it.
I spoke to my boss and she got all defensive and rude. she tried to put all the stuff back onto me and it was just wrong... its too long a story and lets not bring the lovely thread down. needless to say it was the worst thing today along with the nightmares i have been having lately.
Best thing? hmmm sometimes its hard to find one when your down...... ummmm puppy kisses and you guys!
what i have learnt.....im too tired and too old for this.... how shall i put it in a lady like manner... manure! however, manure tends to help things grow too so i shall try and gain something positive out of it.. though i will do it kicking and screaming! lol
Oh my gosh, how bizarre to log in this morning to find yet another
snake, as that is what I am about to post about! Eeeek!
Best thing? Had a pre-birthday dinner for Cody at my parent's house
last night. His birthday is on a school night. Drat. Sixteen and unsure
if he's ever been kissed. LOL.
Worst thing? Wub came into the shed to get a load of baby chickie peeps
hatched in our incubator. He took them outdoors to their new house. Not
one hour later I was at the desk when I saw him through the blinds, walking
by the office holding a giant snake with multiple bumps in it. You guessed it,
the snake (a big one!) slithered into the peep house and devoured five or
six baby peeps! Wub promptly disposed of this nasty critter and tossed him
into the burn pile.
What I've learned? That after dreaming of snakes all night long, one does
not wake very refreshed and ready for the day.
Poor baby chickies:(
Snakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Poor little chickies!
Worse thing: Asst. manager accused us of not facing product the day before.( Not even what I feared.) But anyway I got mad because I work the same for all 3 manager's even though one is a good friend of mine. I know we did the job maybe the other person didn't do as good a job as she should of but we did do it!
Best thing: DH cleaned out the pond for me! Was so happy with that!
What I learned yesterday: I still don't care for that manager but feel kind of sorry for her. Will still treat her how I always have. She needs to grow up! She's only 21!
Bettypauze Thank you for this thread! I got to safely blow off alittle steam today.
101...listening to the news about all the terrible weather the USA has been having..are you restricted as to how much water you can use? Even though Georgian Bay is not more than 1 or 2 miles from the house the Municipality puts water band ..
Appreciation days are awesome..we included everyone on committee's from within the municipality and firefighters and local club executives to a dinner and dance.at Christmas..omg about snakes, Georgian Bay is know for Rattlers..infact on Beausoleil Island National park where you can tent..it is a rattlesnake sanctuary..no thanks.
Bluekat..hopefully you'll make mega $$$ to purchase things you really need..
The-Wonder-Downunder..so sorry you did not get any satisfaction with your employer...you reap what you sow ..the Lord deals with those issues..so your puppy is doing ok...bet you are spoilling him?
Wuvie..OMG...had a hatcher in my craft room at home..the grandsons loved to watch the process..had good hatching ratio...funny, I couldn't eat any of the eggs that we had and yet I'd go to the store and buy there's which were so much older...we had trouble with fox in our area..stupid chickens would put their heads out to squawk and we'll you know the rest..finally gave up...to upsetting...didn't know that snakes eat chickens..who would have thunk...posted on your cut wine bottle thread..showed you a photo of my kitchen with a similar bottle..love it to put my grains in..pls. check it out..as well, some 'wok' recipe's.
Wuvie, they are saying there is a tornado watch near Hwy 54..hope it's not near you..
Ves522...it's difficult having the boss being younger isn't it! Should have invited you DH to help me clean mine..what a job..I smelt like I had been working in the sewers when I finished..but it's operation now..love the sound..I do not put fish or plants in mine..I have layers which when weather is hot I sit in it..lol..the pondlady I should be called..
photo of pond is on page 1 I believe from yesterday..you'll get idea of how I dug it up last fall..can't wait to finish it..
http://s178.photobucket.com/albums/w255/bessiemarie0/
hello all,
wuvie so sorry for the chicks:(
ves, you dont work for a supply house do you i know this facing issue all to well..
betty how are you?
best thing staying in a air conditioned building all day
worst thing i was not prepared for this mini heat wave
what i've learned to stop waiting for the last minute to put the pool up...
Sorry everyone, fell asleep last night soon after I got home..
Best thing that happened yesterday is boss said I could work from home on Friday untill 1:00 so I can go to mom's cottage and bring her Mother's Day Gift so I can be home all weekend for my family visiting..
Worse Thing..coming down with somethingk, some type of flu bug..and finger hurts like the dickens...not sure it's not borken..
What did I learn..mended fences with brother and it's nice to have him back in my life..he must feel same as he's either visited or called every day since I did the call..no major issue..he jokes around a little tooo much and says inappropriate things..we'll that's behind us now..so I learnt that taking the first step even though I felt I was right didn't hurt a bit..
Have a great day my friends...
(((((Wonder))))) (((((Wuvie))))) (((((Bettypauze)))))
Hope you're feeling better Betty! It's good that you were able patch things up with your brother. I have a little fence-mending to do myself with a relative and I know it's not going to be an easy thing. I don't even know where to begin with this person and I don't want to be apologizing for anything as I know I was in the right!
Wuvie, what a sad story about those little chicks :o(
bluekat, what is a 'household breaking up yard sale'? Hopefully not what I think it is...
Well the best thing that came of today was seeing my little guy all excited over his new hamster....he named it Scamp!
The worst thing (if it can be called that) was running out of daylight hours in which to garden. I can stand it when I'm on a roll in the garden and then I have to quit because the darkness is taking over.
I learned that my new neighbor is an absolute piggy. I had a really good gander at his yard today and I was absolutely horrified to see how he has managed to destroy a once pristine property in less than a year. He lets his dog poop all over the place and does not clean it up......it's going to be wretched to be out in my yard this summer with that stench. Nice dog; bad owner. Plus, he puts his garbage out on his deck and the critters have just strewn stuff everywhere. And oh gosh, the garden at the end of his yard is completely mangled with junk on it ......it was so pretty before......I need to put up a solid wooden fence so I can't see this situation.
Be Well,
Erynne
Best thing that happened to me today was coming home to find contractors had put in front window and were working to finish the siding...as well, Greg my eldest and my cousin Doug were doing final work on the "Foxy Lady" so that major fibreglassing/new floor/new interior gets done...overwhelming to see the lady in such disrepair..know Roger was looking down saying 'good work guys'
Worse thing is that during t.v. bingo which I play with grandsons on Tuesday night, they announced that the Indian Village in Midland was burning..Kyle and Noah took a ride into town and called me to say the entire village was burnt to the ground but he thought they had saved the Museum..he said many were crying at the loss...it's been there as long as I can remember..I did school trips to the village so now that's going back at least 50 years...
What did I learn..that everytime you start a project, it turns into 10..put the window in, now the inside section has to have drywall, then new curtains and now I don't want sectional in front of window so..maybe I'll be out shopping for new couch..oooch..just bought t his one last year..
Yes Erynne it means what you think it means. Betty, I too will be shopping for some new furniture soon. He is moving out on the 19th after 3+ years.
Best thing today: spending time @ my friends farm, weeding, planting and talking to chickens! Cool breezes and fertile fields everywhere you looked. Peaceful.
Worst thing: Leaving the farm! LOL or the price of gas still @ $3
Learned: The day is what you make of it. If it starts out badly that is only an opportunity to find the good. I hope I can remember that going forward.
Bluekat..saying prayers for you to go along with your positive thinking..great attitude..hard - but possible...
Morning all!
Woke up to a big crack over the house. A storm was passing over! Acouple of more cracks and it was gone. Couldn't get back to sleep. My day is started and I'll probably nap before work. LOL
Worse thing yesterday:Didn't have time to garden
Best thing: Had fun spending money yesterday. Dog treats, groceries a new shirt and to Klinger's which is a farm market and 14 greenhouses! OH! also the thrift Store.
What I learned: That I had to put all that stuff away before going to work!
lizrainey I work for A Dollar type store. It's brand new and the manager wants it to stay nice. Well we all do! Besides I've been there from the start when it was being set up. So it holds a special place in my heart! LOL
Wonder I hope you had a nice day today.
Work is no fun when there are those kind of problems.
I'll add todays also
Worse thing: Waking up to that loud crack
Best thing: this is the last day od my 5 in a row and if I looked at the schedule right I have 5 days off! Part-time work does pay off sometimes
Did I learn anything yet today! If I wait long enough the computer starts to behave. For some reason during the nice weather the DSL won't work and I can be foo line for hours!
Betty hope your finger is feeling better. Can hardly wait to see the house and all the work. We did ours a couple of years ago. It had needed it for 20.
I still need shutters for the windows. Hey so we're alittle slow! LOL
Bluekat the gas prices are scary. I didn't fill mine yesterday and I hope I don't regret it because the last jump was 10 cents a gal.
Betty here is a picture of my above ground pond he made for me.
Best, well, I could say spending the day with my better half, but that is everyday and goes without mentioning, so I will use the different things that come up. lol.....
Best would be getting the MG supports up all along the front of the house and side porch. Been trying to gget that done for weeks.
Worst..the heat!
What I learned...that there are golden fat bumble bees in this area...ysterday was the first time I have ever seen one that wasn't black.
Good Morning (almost lunch here),
Sorry to hear it bluekat....you're alot more positive than I was when I went through it and it's good that you have friends for support. I had no one at the time and it was hard putting one foot in front of the other. It wasn't until I finally found "the me without him" that I started to feel good. Sending prayers & good thoughts your way!
Betty, I can't believe it about that fire; the long houses are all destroyed??? Have you been up to see it yet? Very devasting.
I'm going to cry..typed notes to all and where oh where did it go..well here we go again...
Crashbandiscoot - hope you are feeling better and are able to join us again..
Thehegemon...how's that problematic creature living next door to you? behving I hope...
MsLilian..will you get to spend the summer home or are you in search of new employment...good luck from all of us if you are...
Balvenie...did your sweetie bring you a gift from her vacation...bet YOU baked her a welcome home 'cake' right and house was spotless...I can only imagine (lol) I went on a month vacation with girlfriend the month before DH passed away..came home and a towel was drapped over the rod iron..he couldn't wait to tell me it was same towel as when I left..he could never get over that I washed towels everyday..why? he'd say..we've washed ourselves, we're not dirty..just brushing off the water, why would you need to wash it....lol...
Lizrainey..got that pool up yet..I wanted to put one in this year - above ground..have 1/2 of yard fenced but would have to do other and that would cost about $3K so forget it..Georgian Bay just 2 miles from home and son and his pool about same...weekend was lovely, but not heat wave..today, very overcast..sure hope up north it's not raining so they can finish at least the siding...
The_Wonder_Downunder..how is it going 'sweetie' things any better at work..we have government agencies to deal with such..maybe you should check further into it if things are still going same..just not right...how's the puppy...Sophie came and visited me last evening..she's nice and great with the boys..no barking, learning new tricks...aren't they just part of the family?
I'm going to do another post..just incase I loose this one as well....
continuation...
Erynne..fire was quite extensive..it's not Fort Ste. Marie near the Martyr's Shrine, it's the Indian Village and Museau on King St. in Midland..it's located at entrance of Little Lake Park..the interrupted Roger's Cable T.V. bingo as the t.v. camera man and helpers who are firemen had to be at the location..Grandsons Kyle and Noah with parents took a ride to town..Kyle called me about 9:30 or so to say the entire long house-indian village portion burnt entirely to the ground but they managed to save the Museum..the village had a fire a few years ago and had to be rebuilt..kids playing with matches..they think same this time..would be quite an undertaking to re-build..thanks goodness museum in one piece...at tourist time to beat..so many spring/summer activities planned..pardon the pun...'all up in smoke' ...no words were ever spoken that has more meaning to all..everyone should get to know the 'me without him' person before moving on..if you can't get along with yourself (internal strife - then how can you expect to get along with others)
Ves522-14 greenhouses...wow..bet you thought you should have left the wallet at home right..lol...love your pond..worked on Saturday to empty mine, Sunday to fill her up (that's why my poor fingers got a bobo...I've been adding rocks on the side each night not to overdue..can't understand why contractor next door isn't backfilling yet..crew won't work until that's done and I would like my rocks and boulder to finish my project..then I can make flower gardens and pathway around it...quite a think remodelling on your own..thank goodness friends have all put in what they'd like to see, (they always say it's their place as well..drop in centre lol) so we've incorporated quite a few of them..will be glad to have it finished..one thing leads to another..
Giddy Moon..what is the MG supports??? I'll trade off some of the rain that they are calling for in exchange for heat/heat/heat...be very careful around those bees..a gentleman on our street passed away last summer from a couple of bee bites..he wasn't know to have an allergy..so be cautious...
Araness...How's your dad doing..feeling better? Bet you've had hundreds of compliments re new hairstyle - right?
Wuvie - and how are you doing today..busy, as I haven't seen you post..was looking for ideas re mosaic bench top? thought you might have ideas...
Zaphron2..how is your 'life partner' doing..out of the hospital as yet?..still giving you 'the for me smiles...so adorable..
101...sure do miss your posts...hope you are enjoying this day with DH...
Nap..I'm support Tim Horton's at lunch..money's collected will go to area youth needs...how's work going? still finding parking places and keeping on track?
Merigold..How's yoga going...is your stepsister coping a little better now?
Snipe...Are you still housecleaning..haven't seen you around ... come and join us..miss you..
Red_princess_71..How's the little boy you babysit..all better..when they are that age they seem to recouperate within hours..we worry a lot though...
Well it's almost lunch time...I've chatted enough for this morning...I teach painting on Wednesday night so later this afternoon I'll do my update as to the day...enjoy yourselves wether gardening, resting and working...
Egads, all, I can't keep up! LOL
Been busy with parents, my son's birthday, trying to get
the house in order, fight the rain, etc.
Had a great dinner with Cody last night at his fave BBQ place.
He ate beans! The kid won't eat diddly, but he ate beans. Whoo
hooo, a milestone on his birthday! Sixteen!
It is now hot and humid and muggy. I want to go outdoors and play
so much, but I have work to do. I also have my new jeans on and am
not dressed for playing in the dirt. New jeans for me, this is a complete
rarity, folks, I've been wearing Goodwill and hand-me-down
jeans by choice for YEARS.
Best thing yesterday? Had a great birthday with Cody.
Worst thing? The day started off with so many people with problems.
Why oh why do new gardeners think they can stick a seed in a butter
tub full of dirt in the back room and watch it grow? Sigh.
What I've learned? That life is entirely too short. There are so many
things I'd like to learn, see and do, but not enough time. Heck, I
can't even keep up with this site some days, LOL.
Missed you all!
morning all...
Things at work not much better in some ways. It seems the boss got wind that if she persued her course she would be up for discrimination. so she called me into her office and occused me of raising all the issues which was a lie.
So, im not sure whats happening.... i havnt been well enough to tackle it reallty.
got some sort of virus and feel as sick as a dog! wonder why we use that term....how sick does My daughter is about to have her second child (a boy). If she doesnt go into labour this week, she is booked in for a c section on wednesday (tuesday for you guys) so i have been helping her out with my grandaughter who is two and a half. You know what its like at the end of a pregnancy. You just have had enough!
best thing?... spending time eith them.
Worst thing?.... feeling under the weather...
What did I learn?......after a tumultuous time when my first marriage ended and the kids didnt want to see me as they blamed me ( he cheated on me) for ending the marriage.... they finally see the truth and have come back. Try and be patient and stand your ground when you know your right. the truth always come out.
Wednesday:
Best Thing...came home and front siding was all done and even an extra step to staircase
...SIL dropped off plants so I spent 2 hrs. outside tonight playing in garden..had rained so easy to work the ground...
Worse Thing..still not up to par so had to cancel painting class..not well since weekend but just not sick enough for it to get me down..watch, I'm off Fri/Sat/Sun..now that's when I'll get it full force..lol
What did I learn...even though I think I can take on all the projects outside on my own, I'm going to have to call in both boys and asked for a days work..
Betty, Dad is doing fine, thanks for asking.
Best thing today is hummm ahhh I got new glasses.
Worst thing is that I went to the Endo and he changed most of my meds and put me on insulin (I had just spen mucho $$ on a 3 month supply of the others) so now I get to take 7 shots a day. Joy joy!
What I learned...they don't teach bedside manners in med school, if they did my new Doctor flunked...but he aced everything else...or so they say.
Thanks for thinking of me, Betty. Life is good at my house. The job too. People are going to be people no matter what, so just live with it. Which brings to mind a lesson I live by, though it's cheating to call it "today's lesson" because I learned it years ago. So this will be a freebie lesson.
"You get out of people just as much as you put into them." Or substitute pets, or marriage, or your job, or your gardening, or housework, etc. You can't expect to throw some paint at a canvas and come up with a masterpiece (unless your a chimp, I suppose).
Best thing: A walk through the yard showed that Spring has finally sprung in Western New York. Every year I think I don't feel like being a gardener this year, but then it all starts to emerge from it's winter slumber and I'm enthused again. That happened today.
Worst thing: I had a good day. There seems to be no worst thing! Wait! Make that my best thing!
Actual lesson: I learned that Betty is a fantastically talented artist. I clicked on her Photobucket link for the first time. Wow!
Downunder
Sounds like you are working for a bully. Spend a few minutes on the net researching "bullies in the workplace" You might get some useful tips on how to handle the situation. The sad thing is that bullies are often dealt with by giving them promotions. Unfortunately this gives them a chance to share their special sort of misery with other folks.
Good Luck
David
Nap,
I agree with all the feelings you have about Spring and your garden. It sure is a miracle the way everything just comes up fro baren ground to dazzle you.
If you have not yet checked it, please go to my Post "Garden Poetry" in the Mid Atlantic Forum. There---I posted a Poem I just wrote about my garden and how the Seasons flow.
I thought it turned out really well. So does everyone that has read it.
I am not boasting here. I seldom write Poetry, but I have my "moments". Some of them are very worthwhile.
Gita
Good News: My partner is home and resting. Not sure which was worse--the small stroke that he had or the invasive tests that had no conclusive results. Regardless he laughed today and is on the mend.
Bad News: Didn't get a chance to do anything in the garden but stroll around. Tomorrow is a day off and the garden beckons.
What I Learned: I am truly valued and respected at work. I like my job more and more each day. Which has been a constant theme since I was hired two years ago. Who knew that work could be fun. This is a pix of me at work with the traveling wood know as Fernando (yes the pole has a name).
Wednesday is minutes from being over.....gotta type quick!
Best thing....got those irises planted today.
Worst thing.....wasps in the greenhouse! I was way too scared to go inside to get what I needed. Hopefully they'll be gone tomorrow.
Learned......I don't think I learned much today to be honest, lol.
Erynne
best thing - my youngest son's girlfriend asked my wife to come up to philly and help her pick out a wedding dress today.
worst thing - last week found out my oldest son's girlfriends mom has developed liver cancer.
i learned that you can be happy and sad all within minutes of each other.
My head hurts some this morning! Let's see if I can still think!
Worse thing yesterday:Didn't get a good nap!
Best thing : Got most of the spikes repotted
What I learned: That I am satisfied with baby steps out in the garden on work days! At least something is getting done.
All in all it was a good day!
Hi david,
your so right. Bullies do seem to get promoted and boy there are three of em at work and they are in the top three jobs! All women and in a clique'. oh well, we will just have to wait and see. Have battled weight all my life and peoples looks, judgements and opinions. you would think I am used to it! I guess the thing is.... I have battled this all my life!! hahah you never get used to it.... lol
Best thing?...... got to spend time with my daughter again today and my granddaughter as we wait for the 16th and her c section. I think she is finally appreciating a mom and I am glad to be that mom.
Worst thing?... stressing too much about things and giving myself anxiety!
What i have learnt?..... gotta stop stressing things and see what i can do to improve my life and find happiness starting with the things that i am thankful for.
You guys being one of them!
thanks for listening, caring and letting me be a part of this thread.
hello all,
betty, your so busy how do you keep up wow,
hope your felling better, im hosing down the covers im going to fill it

wonder,
hope your feeling better, i hate clique's there is no reason for them i really admire your endurance wow keep up the good work. bull'ys always get whats comming to them its fun to sit back and watch their world crumble.
best thing got to garden, enjoying a little cooler weather
worst thing somethings digging up my my seed mat, im on patrol now watch out!
what i've learned home time is the best time of the day
lizrainey It was in my mom's backyard when we did some cleaning. I have no idea where she got it. Probably a thrift sale or someone's garbage! She has all kinds of neat junk!
Wuvie...exciting time being 'sweet 16'..now comes the fun years...my Grandmother used to say "older I get, the quicker time flies" Made me laugh (she raised me from 6 months old ) as I always thought she just sat all day, not much to do..lol but as the years fly by and even decades, I now know what she was referring to...glad you enjoyed the b.b.q. and these happy times...
The-Wonder_Downunder...I'll start with asking how 'Leopold" is doing? Puppies are so high energy creatures..Hope you are feeling better..and I've always wanted to know.."who says skinny is better? - must be someone skinny-right? Divorce is a terrible thing especially when children are put in the middle and asked to take sides...glad they are back in the fold...bet you are looking forward to the new 'arrival'..I personally am not great with babies, I like them when I can understand what they are saying, and of course when I can do crafts with them to entertain them LOL/LOL/LOL
Araness...Glad you dad is doing better...glasses..always nice to see clearly right? I've had eyes tested 6 months ago and haven't taken time to go choose glasses-if I soon don't go I'll need to pay another $50. for assessment..so you've just reminded me and I'll make appt. You are right with regards to bedside manners...several years ago I fell ill in Florida, couldn't swallow, couldn't eat etc. etc. went for some test and they felt I should come back to Canada and get checked as it could be cancer..returned immediately and called my doctor's office for appt. I make appts. let me see, maybe once or twice a year..so when I do call, normally it's when I have no other option..anyway, took me 2 weeks before he could see me, I could have stayed in warm weather had I know, anyway, I've always been between 100-110 lbs. - only 5' (lying here, I have to stretch about 1/2 inch to make it ...ha/ha) and I had put on perhaps 25 lbs since my DH had passed away..anyway..I complained when finally I did get in for the wait, he simply looked at me, took his hand, felt the excess weight, and said, don't worry, if it is cancer, it would take at least 1 year to eat through this fat....sooooo, no bed side manners there...
Nap, what kind of work are you now doing? You hit it right on the nail...You do reap what you sow' at least the majority of the time..there is indeed exceptions though! And thank you for the compliment re my painting and crafts...it is not a talent believe me, I teach many individuals who have never done crafts and their work, with a little patience and practice turn out equally as well..I enjoy working with seniors and the youth! still have classes in my home...but thank you..I do enjoy seing my art around me..my son and DIL's house, which is country is such a pleasure visiting, you can feel the warmth..but then, I look around and 90% is what I made (lol) should have kept everything then my place would look same...
Zaphron 2...David, so glad everything is getting back tor normal and that your 'Life partner" is not home..now would this individual have a name...lifepartner sounds cold...?
Enjoyed the photo, read the post but but I don't understand what 'travelling wood' is..??
Gitagal..welcome to this group of positive, carring and friendly people...I'm off to read your poem..that's a talent in itself..thank you for sharing your thoughts on 'seasons'
Erynne..you must be tired today...up past midnight..do be extremly careful with the 'wasps'..I worry as last fall I've heard of someone in our community being bit and die, another on the local news as well...spray first perhaps..You said you didn't learn ANYTHING yesterday, we'll bet you did, could be as I've learnt that you are frightened of bees...
Herbie43..Shopping for a wedding dress, what's more exciting, the shopping or being asked to join in? I think that's wonderful...
Ves522..Headache? I've had a few of late, don't you think perhaps it's the low masses re weather..that always seems when I get them...Now how do you rate getting a nap???As for the gardening, I always intend to go slowly and then before you know it, I'm full speed ahead, as I am sure you and everyone else end up being...as for your mothers neat junk..am sure they are her 'treasures'..can't wait to do weekly 'garage sale' outings in town nearby so I can find treasures as well...
Lizrainey...Sounds like a lot of work to me...will be lovely though when all done..what is a 'seed mat' If I keep asking all these questions and get answers to all of them as I ask from the posts, just think how smart I'll be...
How do I keep up? My job affords me perhaps about 5 -6 hrs. of down time..my expertice is not always required so, my lovely office has a t.v./dvd player, I have painting here than I can do, knitting and crochet as well...did about 4 hats from eyelash wool that I'll donate as light wigs for cancer patients..so you so, answering all your posts is not only enjable, but helps me fill a void... thank you all! BIL says I more than earn my keep but sometimes my hand shakes when I take my paycheck on Thursdays..lol - NOT...
Lol Betty, I'm terrified of jellow jackets and wasps and those like them. Bumble bees and honey bees on the other hand, I have no fear of anymore......they mind their own business because they have important work to do. Wasps seem to come at me for no particular reason. You guys up in Victoria Harbour seem to have a large population of wasps but don't worry, it won't stop me from visiting! Still trying to think of what I learned yesterday.....could be I was zonked and couldn't think of anything. Maybe teaching myself to plant irises counts as something!
