Windbreaks

We live in zone 5b and have heavy clay soil. We need to plant some type of bush or tree that would make a good windbreak. Any suggestions?

Osage Orange or Hedge trees make great tree wind breaks. Also ninebark maple will make a great shrub version. You can also use cedars or other evergreens.
