I have purchased several tradescantias for the flower beds this year and now that I have I worried I will not be able to contorl their growth in the future. Would I be better off putting them into pots?
I love this sight, thank you to all and have a wonderful season!
tradescantia
Which species of tradescantia?
Oh, yes, I love those things, Tradescantia x andersonia. They are not particularly invasive. Contrary to what a lot of nurseries say, they grow very well with some shade, and in Fresno they might need some during the hottest part of the day. If a clump gets too large, just cut it into chunks with a spade and plant what you want to keep and give away the rest to your admiring neighbors.
