I have a huge sloped bank here in Nebraska. I want to cover it with a ground cover that is low to the ground, maybe green thru the winter, and fast growing. It scares me to death when my husband tries to mow this slope. What are my options here? seeds? vines,
thanks. Bradfordko
what is the best ground cover for me
What about creeping thyme? Flowers I believe late spring, has an aromatic fragrance of lemon also.
I planted sweet potato vine in my flower beds last year, couldn't believe how well it spread, I used the lime green and purple together. Not only did they look great I didn't have to even pull one weed.
Only problem with potato vine, its an annual. But I am going to plant it again this year!
I did a search for "fast growing ground cover"
it gives you a lot of options.
is this full sun/shade ?
how large is the area?
do you mind if it is invasive?
