Hi guys we've decided to start w/Foundation Landscaping at the front of the house (in front of brick). Any suggestions for type of plants, trees, shrubs, evergreens that are medium to fast growing and easy maintenance? A few landscapers suggested a foster holly, some hydrangea, and a few other things. As far as the foster holly goes, from what I've seen it grows very very tall ? Are there different types of foster holly?
Also what about hydrangea is that a good idea if so what kind?
Shrubs or evergreens, any suggestions?
I live in Zone 7 and this area is part shade/ part sun!
THANKS SO MUCH!!
Type of evergreen, dwarf trees, shrub 4 foundation planting?
Hi! I once lived in Oklahoma.......my husband was stationed at Fort Sill. I planted Silverado Texas Sage as shrubs and couldn't have been happier with them. They grew fast, and are a blueish color with lilac flowers in early spring/summer. They are a great drought tolerant shrub. I have even seen the in the topiary form! They are beautiful!
Thanks, do they attract anything? Would they do good in part sun?
As far as I know they do not attract anything, except other peoples eye (I had tons of people asking me what it was). I had my sage in the full sun, so you might want to check with a nursey on that.
This may be of some help:
