I have a firepit that I need to dig and deepen. For the most part, I burn only burnables, try to keep plastic out unless it's full of animal blood, yep D, no more plastics in there.
Anyway, I want to spread the potash out for my veggie garden. Any and all thoughts are welcome.

Potash as Fertilizer?
I use fireplace ashes all the time on root crops. Back when we heated and cooked on wood stoves, also
i use them all the time in certain beds it dose a lot of good for root growth {to a point} if you use to much in a given amount of time it will help bind more acid to the soil i haven't ben able to get my ph right in the round bed even after 10lbs of lime over two months this past winter. this pic is of my marigolds in July they matured out at an amazing 30 " tall and 30+" across when i pulled them up in the fall the root mass wouldn't fit in 1/2 gal pot!
Thanks for the input. Am looking to getting some tilling done this week and will spread around some potash.
