My zone envy isn't quite as bad right now that I have stuff sprouting :*)
intercessor, don't we ALL have zone envy? I'm thrilled to get things budding very early, but at least your summer isn't eight months of dead humid heat. I guess we should all count what blessings we have!
Just love spring...have lots of things sprouting and peaches and cherries are in bloom. I am hoping for lots of cherries this summer. Just love cherry pie from fresh cherries.
Boo Hoo - 25 degrees, blowing snow and ice, Noreaster! Two days ago - 70 degrees and sunny. March is cruel.
I was weeding & pruning in shorts & t-shirt a couple days ago and today, pulling 6" of snow
off my greenhouse. ooooooo I just can't wait for spring to come back again

Me too .. the high here today is in the 50's and tonight it's going to be in the upper 20's! ;-(

Yesterday I had 3 daffys in bloom, and I noticed wrinkly leaves coming up in the rhubarb, plus sprouts at the base of a peony, some snowdrops blooming and those nasty weeds are coming to life everywhere already! We have had a dry winter, so dry that springs are drying up in our area, including ours which never has been dry in all the years we have lived here. I'm soooo thankful that we have a good well. Until about 4-5 years ago we depended on that spring for our household water and everything else.
It's like Christmas walking around the garden each day, inspecting everything for signs of new growth. :-) I've noticed new growth on my lilacs, azalea, roses, daylilies, peony, a few of the hostas, hydrangea, sedum, hollyhocks, spring bulbs--of course (only crocus, daffodils and muscari are blooming so far), chives, Sweet William, heucheras, gypsophilia repens, lamiums, campanula, daisy 'Wirral Pride', one astilbe, and vinca. Still have a lot that's dormant, but it's fun to keep checking on everything, and to check on my wintersown seedlings. Tamara
It was 86 here today, but the pollen is so bad I had to stay inside with the AC on. We need rain desperately. Have been praying for it, but God has not answered my prayers, so will keep on keeping on. Supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow also. LIZ
