Parks order shipping time question

For everyone that has placed an order with Park Seed....

How long did it take for them to ship and then receive a SEED ONLY order from them?

It's been 2 weeks since I placed my order and I'm so tired of seeing "In stock and reserved" and "processed" for the last 13 days I could spit. I placed an order with Swallowtail Garden Seed one day before the Park order, and their seed is not only planted, but the cypress vine is 2.5 inches tall and ready for transplant!!

I've emailed several times and have been promised upgraded shipping, immediate shipping, putting a rush on the order....still nothing.

Should I leave feedback on Garden Watchdog? It seems the only way to get things rolling. At least there Jay Johnson checks comments and responds.

call me Impatient for my Impatiens. lol

I placed an order on March 6th and received it yesterday March 12th. Have you tried calling and talking to someone rather than e-mailing? Their number is 1-800-845-3369.

So I called them and the person I spoke to (Robyn) was very nice. She forwarded my call to a supervisor (Beverly) who told me the order should have gone out March 3 and she had no idea why it hadn't. She promised it would ship that day (Tuesday) and she upgraded it to 2nd day air. cool

So last night I checked my order status and it still hasn't shipped. Again this morning, it still hadn't shipped.

I have a call into Robyn right now. The saga continues...

Maybe it just takes time for the order status to update in their system. I hope you get your order soon. I know how anxious I always am to get my seeds!

Three more phone calls today!! and 2 unanswered emails.

Finally at 4pm I get an email saying it will be 2-3 more days before it will ship. BAMM

Called again, all supervisors are busy. Finally got a call back from Beverly the original supervisor. She told me I had misunderstood. I told her no, I hadn't. Miraculously, as we spoke, her screen came up showing the order had just shipped. Uh huh. we'll see.

This is way too much work

Just got it one hour ago! That was with 2 day shipping

It took several more calls, misinformation, even begging.

2 days ago I got an email from Jay Johnson with an apology and a $25 product coupon.

I'm gonna use it, but I'm not going to order anything I really need.

What a pain the whole thing was

Ionltd: Glad you got the seeds, finally! I was following your thread because I order from Parks alot and have always received orders promptly. Very strange.

I haven't had problems with them either - in fact, ordered some bulbs awhile back which they shipped at the appropriate time along with the healthiest looking Heuchera I've ever seen (I had ordered it last FAll, I think, but they ran out). Recently I have had the most incredibly good experience with Annie's Annuals (she has perennials, too) out of Richmond, CA. The order arrived promptly and I have never seen such wonderful packaging. And every plant looks as if I am picking it up right out of her greenhouse.

And I also recently placed an order from Willow Creek (a gift). They had a problem with the order (not their fault - just had to switch from potted to rhizome as their supplier sent only rhizomes) and wrote to me right away with various options (said it was their goal to keep me happy!). When I explained it was a gift for someone who had just lost her husband, they wrote back immediately and said they would package it up the way we decided and get it out on Monday (I got their e-mail last night - Friday!). Needless to say, I will order from both of them again in a heartbeat and need to write something up here on DG's Watch Dog, too.

Sorry - didn't meant to get so wordy, but with such great experiences, it's hard not to!

I always had good experience with Park Seed until this winter. They had that 35% off everything sale?
Well - I ordered quite a few bottles of fertiziler and some seed. It all came at full price! So I immediately
emailed about it. They said mistake. I said "put it in writing". I got a note back saying they couldn't get it
"in the system so here's a mock-up". well - a few weeks later I get a merchandise coupon! So then I
send them several emails telling them I want my MONEY back. I threatened them with public disclosure
of their deceptive business practices unless they gave me money instead of merchandise. I finally got
the money.

I am no longer using Park Seed. I think they are in financial trouble or something.

It seems they've got an inside communications problem. They can't relay info from one department to the other...that happens a lot when companies get big. very frustrating.

At first I thought I was being too ancy, I read people received their order "promptly" but didn't realize 3 weeks was beyond prompt until Rae17 said she got her order in 6 days.....! Thank you so much Rae....I'd still be waiting if you hadn't responded.

Now how do I rate them? It took forever, but they tried to make it right. I guess a neutral???

I PLACED AN ORDER FOR SEED STARTER DOMES THAT WERE IN STOCK.. TOOK 3 WEEKS TO COME
THE TRACKING PAGE JUST KEPT SAYING"IN STOCK AND RESERVED" "PROCESSING".
NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH SEED DELIVERY..WHAT GOT ME WAS THEY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT THE NEXT DAY...LAST YEAR I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM.. COULD BE MONEY PROBLEMS!! I AGREE
