I don't have a garden so I don't post here (just lurk), but I thought this might be interesting for some of you. I grew up in the NC mountains and heard my grandfather talk about this. It's been around for a looooooog time!

Neat link and an interesting topic. You know I think alot of the old knowledge is being lost with modern technology. Not always an improvement... is it?

Have made a small search on several of the forums to see if you've posted anywhere, but have yet to find anything since {this} particular thread.

I'd read also, that you may've had some internet difficulties at some point - so you may not be able to see/view this inquiry.

DG is so large a 'metropolitan city' these days, and is getting more and more difficult (for me) to try to keep up with. Most times, any news is usually found much later than it should be .. and sadly, I can only offer my sincerest apologies for these instances.

I've also found where someone had posted, that you've had more serious health problems and hospitalizations .. but haven't found any updated information.

Mite there be anyone .. that may have some current information, on how she is doing -?-

You are missed, girlie ..

Hi Mags...thanks for asking. It's always good to be missed! I do more lurking than chatting now-a-days. I've had some health issues.....actually just kinda' old age creeping (or climbing) up on me. Arthritis, kidney stones, etc., nothing that can make me famous by a write up in a medical journal. LOL

I lurk around on the Pet Forum (of course), the "Coffee...and" thread and of course the Weather Forum. Even though I'm a city gal, I LOVE the Equus and Poultry Forums. Scared of horses and never owned a chicken, but love living vicariously the "farmers life".

I hope all is well with you in your lovely home. I still have your pictures of your paradise in AR in my save file.

Good to hear from you, hope to see you around the Garden.

Ha! I called the wrong side of the coin this mornin' .. so, I went to brush-hog (cut) the lil pasture, and the along the sides of our driveway .. up top of our property today .. so, that's where I've been since I posted the inquiry.

So, SOOO good to 'see' you .. and that you're back up & at'em, Pati.
