What do you think of this herbal lawn seed mix?

Birmingham, AL

I just moved into a house with a gorgeous lawn in the front, but the back is pretty yucky. There's a great big tree, and it makes everything part shade as the shadow moves.
I also have a 90 lb dog that gets the zoomies whenever I let her out, so the probability of a Nascar ring in my yard is high.

With these things in mind, I wanted a soft pretty fragrant lawn that would grow back even when trampled on by crazed beasts. I found this:

Herbal Lawn: http://www.protimelawnseed.com/fragrant_herbal.html
Fragrant Herbal Lawn Seed Mix is self-supporting, earth-friendly and features Roman Chamomile, Sweet Alyssum and Strawberry Clover combined with hardy, low-growing grasses and other herbaceous plants. Enjoy the interesting textures in this herbal lawn and experience the sweet fragrance whenever you mow.

What do y'all think? Will it work? And what's the best way to plant something like this?
THANKS!

I think things like that are really pretty, but I think most of the non-grass groundcovers that can stand some foot traffic still can't take as much as turf grass can, so I would think the dog would ruin it even faster than a regular lawn. Most of those plants also enjoy sun, so I'm not sure if they'll do any better in the shade than grass would. I've never tried anything like this though, maybe someone else will have a different perspective.

Thanks ecrane, I thought about your points this morning when I was watching Athena gouge holes into the ground!
