I don't mind chipmunks in general but there were chipmunk burrow holes next to the house that I didn't want. One day I had soaked some dried blackeye peas and then I didn't have time to cook them and a couple of days later I poured the peas and the water down the hole and shoved a rock into it. There has been no activity there since and it has been two months. I think the peas swelled the burrow shut.
I hit upon a way to plug up chipmunk holes!
I tried a FULL Jar of Cayenne Red Pepper (ground up mind you)...and the chipmunk seem to like it...She ate her way around it then cleaned her hole out for herself and the TWINS
... the only reason she left after 2 years in the same spot was a feral Pregnant Cat moved in, gave birth and her kittens played right there... so the Chipmunk moved across the creek and let me tell you she was NONE to happy about it either........
So, it seems that Black-eyed Peas or a Pregnant Cat will both work :-)
