I was given this Friendship/Queens Tears plant 2 yrs ago. Other than dividing it, is there a seed propagation from the flowers?
Billbergia nutans var. schimperiana
I love this plant ! Wish I had it. Its in the Bromelaid family. I don't know about the seeds ?
Maybe you could post over in Bromelaid forum someone will know.
Seed propagation is possible, but the seeds should be treated a little differently from your standard terrestrial seed. You can find a little information in the PlantFiles (see tabs up top) entry for this plant. Here's the link to save you a bit of time.
