Does anybody have a source for the chemical "ethylmethane sulfonic acid methylester"?
This is a chemical that induces mutations in plants grown by seed.
I'm wondering if there is a source where this can be purchased.
Thanks,
Dave
ethylmethane sulfonic acid methylester, EMS
Hi Dave,
The following company handles many of the sulfonic acids and they have an email inquiry for specific needs. It may be a good place to check:
Capital Resin Company

i'll see if I have a number for Southern Ag. They handle green house chemicals. I got GA from them when I couldn't get it anywhere else.

Wow, I was beginning to think that I was not going to get a response, and then I got 2 good responses 3 minutes apart!
Thank you both for these referrals! I didn't know where to start!
Best,
Dave
Dave~ You probably already know this, but for everyone else that might be interested-Colchicine, another chemical w/ similar properties can be homegrown, colchicum bulbs.
Calalily~ GA is available at J L Hudson, too.
