Announcing the new tradelists!

North Augusta, ON

It would be nice to be able to put a common name somewhere...even looking at my own list, unless there is a common name I have no idea what they are...lol....I hate Latin..I really do.

edited to say I have been puting it in brackets beside the Genus...but then PlantFiles can't pick up a match...any ideas where else I could put it, just for my own sanity?
Thanks

Put the common name in the "Special notes" field.

Is there a way where we can disable our entire list at one time? Kind of like the privacy feature in our journals? Sometimes I get too busy to trade and I didn't want to put all my entries in only to have to go back and disable each one available and even wanted when I don't have time to trade. I was just wondering if there could be a quick and easy way to do it at once. Thanks for all the new changes. The plantfiles features to add are especially nice!

There's no way to turn them all off at once but you can just go down the list and click "Disable" for each one.

I spent some time today browsing other members tradelists. While I realize that lots of members haven't updated their lists yet, I thought it would be extremely helpful if their zone showed up in the list.

For example, would it be possible to have another field for our zone in this list? http://davesgarden.com/trading/view/

That would save lots of time if you are looking to see if anyone in your zone, or close to your zone, might have some plants you are wanting, and wishing for some plants you may have. I realize that most plants have a broad range of hardiness, but I still think it would help eliminate a lot of the searching.

Just a thought. Would anyone else find this helpful?

Good call Joan - this is done!
