Need to cool down after all this crazy talkin!

As I said, I have an old fridge in the basement that I was going to get rid of. I'm going to keep it now, it sounds as though it may be useful. I'm new to propagation, would like to know the steps involved in germination of these seeds.

Many shrubs, trees & perennials require alternating cycles of Warm/Cold/Warm.
So you pot up the seeds (or put them in moist paper towels in baggies) and then
put them in 70degF for 6wks, refridgerate for 6wks then 70degF again. Some
require more than these three cycles but in general, this is sufficient.

Hey PG tel me what your trying to grow and i'll try and find out how to germinate them!

Well, I have seeds from Mars Midget astrantia and Bells of Ireland. Do they need cold in order to germinate? The only seeds I know anything about are morning glory seeds. Oh. I have birdhouse gourd seeds, but they're in the original package so I have that info. Thanks. :0)
