Me neither! That is interesting..I love to learn about HIstory, I will have to go to the library and get a book about that and learn more..of course they always make me cry too...HIstory was very cruel at times!

the original mason-dixon line had nothing to do with the issue of "north and south". it was the missouri compromise that came later that used the line to help divide slave states and free states. and just to help balance the number of each they came up with parallel 36 degrees 30' as the "new" line..................and missouri is north of this line. so the way the compromise reads is that slave states are below this line with the EXCEPTION of missouri.

I think it's a great idea that you aren't listing the Gift "Donor's" names .... that way no one will have to feel inadequate or that maybe they shouldn't play because they can't afford to donate towards prizes. We want everyone to play and have fun, no matter what their circumstances. That's what it's all about here on DG ... education, friendship and the common interest of all those beautiful African Violets and other plants!

I just have a list of the names I chose. Am I supposed to have them laid out in Bingo format or anything like that?
1gardengram: Did you pick 15 AV names from the list above for your Bingo "card" and D-Mail your 15 picks to Moretz? We were supposed to d-mail them to her by yesterday. She is the official card holder for this game and will verify the winners when they yell bingo. You might want to send her a D-Mail to see if it's too late to get your card to her if you haven't done so already.
Janet will begin making the calls either late tonight or sometime tomorrow morning if I am remembering correctly.

Also, this is a black-out bingo. All of them from your list have to be called for you have bingo, so no bingo format is necessary.

You mean Kitty, she just guessed the right name to go with the picture...the only way to Win is to have all fifteen names you picked called before anyone has all of theirs called. So the card you turned in had fifteen names and we are going to call names until all three prizes are won....do you understand how we are playing...if not please ask questions...we were all new at this at one time...Good luck!
