What South American seeds should I...?

San Diego, CA

Hoping someone has some good ideas for seeds I should ask my friend to bring back for me from Nicaragua. She'll be going for a week! I know passiflora but is there a unique one? Pineapple guava? Any others? Any advice would be welcome.

Shannon, my nephew brought me back some seed from Argentina - lol, it was purple Lupine which grows freely here in the states as well!!! However, it was great fun. He's in Africa now (Peace Corps) and I'm hoping he can bring me something unusual. I'll probably be sending him some seed as he wants to start a garden in Ghana where he is "stationed."

Thanks Murmur..I guess I'll have to be specific when I ask her to bring something back for me. Africa should have lots of unusual plants already...one of my favorite is the African Piineapple plant or Economis Autumnalis. Bet he'll find tons of varieties...

Shannon, that will be great fun! I suppose an Internet search could help determine some special plants from that part of the world?
