Anita, wonderful news!!! And why wouldn't they want you? Dave don't you think you could give her a raise...maybe 30%...shouldn't the kids have jobs by now?
I checked with the guys over on the tree forum. They thought if it hadn't broken by now it would probably be ok. We're supposed to get a thaw tomorrow. We've had lots of heavy snows and ice before and I've never seen it anything like this. It's a reasonably young tree (5 yrs). One of the tree guys said he's seen betula nigra snap like match sticks in an ice storm like that.
Coffee Time 2007
Again, grampapa, even if it snaps, you'll get shoots galore in the spring. Just saw it even below the breakage. They grow SO fast, you'll never know a branch was missing.
Down here they just don't last long enough. Once they're looking great they begin dying. It's a heart-breaker.
Anita: Hurray for you! A fresh start for the year in more ways than just a new calendar! I'm happy for you.
Anita, I hope it's not premature, but congratulations! Now I'll keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer just in case. Hey, tell the story of how you and Dave47 got married.... I understand it's cyber.
Gram, wow - Instant weeping tree. Look how it splayed out so perfectly.
Dave tells our story best.... the best part was that I never knew it!!! We've lead such separate lives! Me here on Long Island and he across the Sound in CT!
Thanks again everyone! I'm very excited about the change.
My real wife's name is Anita and Anitabryk2 and I were/are especially close DG pals. Someone got confused or was making a joke so we played it up for a while and confused a lot of people, especially about the kids. I don't remember a whole lot more but everybody has been were very non-judgemental regarding Anita's limited involvement with her children. Especially because she is such a doting aunt.
Anyway, I have always been proud and pleased to be married to Anita, no matter how fake that marriage is! (Plus, the child support comes in handy!)
Anita, do you remember specifics?? Our anniversary must follor soon after the NE forum's anniversary.
LOL, 'child support'. Good story!
One word from moi.
'BIGAMIST'
Without the fringe benefits of cause. lol
I'd say those fringe benefits are the only benefits, and poor Dave, he didn't get 'em!!
LOL..it was pretty funny. Dave, I'm the worst with dates, unless I've written them down. I would say it is within the next month.
Well, there should be a party with a virtual date, virtual cake, and REAL friends who will virtually be there! Too funny! and now you have to share Anita with the rest of us commoners, Dave.
Could you both settle for Valentine's Day?
Sounds like a plan!
Instead of fwb is it mw/ob?
It's Saturday, Anita! Give us an update please!
Dave47 -- whatyatalkinabout?
Yeah, Dave. we don't get it.
can I guess? I think I have the 'without' and female dog in there - close?
Good one Al. I definitely see a w (with) and w/o (without) in there.
Marriage without benifits is my guess.
Edited to say: I had a lot of reading to do to catch up.....boy I missed alot!
LOL

Friendship with benefits or marriage without benefits?
She looks stuffed .
You are working her to hard.
Could do with a bit of a tan also.
Is your real name Norman Bates?
Norman Bates47?
Don't TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER!!
It's okay, Norman.....sorry, Dave. No harm done. Just sit on mama's lap in the nice rocking chair and you'll feel much better. Then maybe a nice hot shower?
A boy's best friend is his mother.
Take it easy, Dave. She's lovely. And you posted a picture! (we have to give Dave some positive reinforcement here). Maybe there are 47 stuffed kids?
Hi everyone - taking a few seconds out from babysitting. So Dave...I never knew...glad I'm on this side of the sound!
I confirmed my appointment for tomorrow on Friday morning. I was supposedly signing papers before I went to my morning client. The office manager said that I would be interviewing with the consultant. I think they are starting to play games. She keeps bringing up the salary. I feel like telling her..."you want me, you asked me..not the otherway around"..Yes, I am looking foward to the new job, but I won't take a pay cut to get it. I hate the games of business.
Hold out for what you want. As you said, they wanted you and it wasn't you who went looking. I've been at both ends, being hired and then doing the hiring and there's generally room to negotiate.
Couldn't you hold out for a raise? (And I'm just not saying that for me!)
They want me to take a pay cut. I'm not up for negotiating that. Sorry Dave...
You could babysit my kids for a pay cut or am I lost here ;)
tell me about it. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see what is what. I had thrown out a number when they first started fishing for me. She bit on that number, but then started to negotiate. I came down a bit, but said that is all I will come down. Doesn't matter what they want to offer, that is the bottom line. So I hope they aren't going to waste my time. Either they want me or not. As much as I can't stand my boss, the job pays well and I don't want to get out bad enough that I will take a pay cut.
I just finished updating my wintersowing database. Now I'm off to finish the laundry and watch some TV before hitting the sack.
Nite all!
Ain`t life tough for the Weaker Sex ? lol

H. Clinton is running for the top job ?
Yes, the weaker sex does have it hard but we women will help you men all we can........within reason.
