The flower looks picotee but it has a somewhat little bit different look going on which is very pretty either way. I think Ron is correct that it is too early and growing isnside may not bring out the very best in many of these sun loving flowers.
First blooms of 2007 (oregon)
I will see if this plant survives until summer when I can move it outside. It germinated last august so if it lasts that long it will be a ripe old age. I posted the photo

because I thought this particular bloom looked like the hand drawn botany diagrams of the reproduction parts of the flower. All the other blooms have been normal, but this one looked like part of the bloom had never developed.
Beth- the photo you posted showing the bloom with a portion of the corolla missing re-inforces my impression about the tissue not forming completely on these blooms...

Beth - Are the leaves on this plant

really 'that' yellow(?)...
Ron, the HPS lights make the leaves look yellow in photos. They are not! I would like to photograph the blooms with the light off, so the yellow doesn't show up, but then the camera has trouble focusing in low light.
I can't move the container because the vines have grabbed on to the wall and the light fixture. I would have to cut down the plant to move it. I guess I could drag out some spot lighting when I photograph, I just haven't got that motivated, yet.
