Yesterday I had the utmost pleasure to meet a gardener in my area..someone who checks into this site, but wants to remain a lurker. Initially I was going to dig up a shrub, and that was spectacular enough. To my surprise, I got a tour of her garden paradise, complete with busy hummingbirds, a vast collection of her specimens, the greenhouse (wow), woodland gardens, rare plants, seed starting operation, etc....you get the picture. The trip was so inspirational to meet someone so knowledgable with their plants and love of flora. As I was leaving, to my surprise, this generous gardener FILLED my station wagon with shrubs, ground covers, ornamentals, grasses, seedlings, divisions of all kinds, seeds, bulbs...I thought I'd cry from happiness and astounding kindness! She wanted to pass on the generosity that she has gotten through the years from other gardeners/trades. What a lesson to experience...one never knows how kindness is contagious until it meets up with you :)

Garden Generosity from a Lurker
I've always suspected that gardeners were the world's kindest citizens, but this is just further proof!
what a pleasant surprise :-)
What a friendly and big heart she must have. And you must be hightly delighted to have met such a wonderful person.
