Daily Musings Page 5

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I love all the warm, personal photos. I don't have any!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm not home enough for a dog either, otherwise I would probably have one too!

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Al, your dog has a nice, sweet face. does he have a name?

Pix, I'm surprised you could ever get up again LOL Abby is precious. If I ever get a dog again, a Golden is my first choice

Nancy...no warm photos here either. the only time DH ever picks up the camera any more is if he thinks I'm doing something funny (read embarassing). fall asleep in an odd position, bend over in the garden...you get my drift. I delete those. no cute pets.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I used to say that, too. Things changed as I got older and I found the time.
Speaking of dogs. I put Sidekick Sarah in a bird nest today, lol.
Early effort at 'Layering' pics.

Gram -darn, I was looking forward to that picture of you bent over sleeping too. My dog's name is Gage - we adopted him a few years ago.

Andy - that's pretty cool

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

neat idea, Andy. don't show it to Sarah. she'll be worried about the giant bird coming to take her away, poor baby.

Al, with any luck I'll fall asleep bent over in the garden again and get a new pic. tell Gage Merry Christmas, too.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukah! To all my internet buddies in the NE forum!

Andy, Could Al be taking pictures of your dog Sarah the way he does other people's gardens?
I'm actually wondering if those are even his kids we see pictures of.

I laugh every time I see one.
Cool Gram.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Doesn't mine look like I'm missing teeth? I'm not really.

The Admin Asst at our senior center created that and sent it around the Human Services Dept.
There is a "memorial" bench recognizing my (then) 20 years of service that was presented to me by my Board. The name plate fell off the bench and one of my asst. Directors attached it to the staff toilet."In Reconition of David __ for 20 years of service..."

I guess I'm the Rodney Dangerfield of the social services set!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Hi everyone... long time no "see you"... well it's official now... Nursing School is over... and I passed... now is just prepare for the board exam and become a real Nurse... I am so excited!!!!

Have a wonderful holiday ... to all of you!!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Congratulations Kassia!!! That is wonderful news.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks...

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Kass, congrats once more!! Maybe we'll hear from you more :0)

Dave, just shows they know you can take a joke! my elf looks like I'm going to cry...I was actually smiling.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Congratulations Kassia

Dave - it's a shame about your name plate "falling" off

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Congratulations Nurse Kassia! All your hard work has paid off. This must be a VERY Merry Christmas for you~

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Gram, You can probably imagine what they have to put with.

Al, Do you think that my getting so many flat tires at work isn't a weird coincidence either??

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Dave, I need to know if your 7yo has seen your elf...no fudging (get it? elf? fudge? wah haha)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Gram, you been in the cookies haven't ya?

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

yeah (hanging head)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's OK...I have been too, thats why I got it so quickly.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Dave - that is really odd, maybe you are cursed or have enemies that you don't suspect

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Dave, you get "no respect", lol.
Kassia, Congrats to you. Well done Ms nursie.

Here is a cute E-Card. http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=ER13610552

Kassia - hooray! I know you will do good on the "boards".

Cookies - I have a great recipie for bourbon balls that are better than drinking because you can't spill the booze and waste it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrP6Tr1QgEU Here is a link for anyone that is extremely bored, Wallingford (the evil cat) doing tricks with "lovely" pictures of my yellow and green kitchen circa 1970. (We didn't know how recording video worked on the digital camera.)

Dave47 - guess your employees wanted a little more "intimate" contact with you when they moved the nameplate. *snicker* (Remember I'm on bourbon ball cookies this morning - stuff just escapes my mind and run amuck on it's own.)

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Congratulations, Kassia!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ok Andy, Gram, and all you game players, here's one for you.....but don't hit Santa!!!

Pixie, I think I saw this one last year but had a hard time with it. I'm better at it this year, lol
Thanks for the fun.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

OK, Pix, I finally got to level 3. I'm really bad at these things...no hand-eye coordination. but it's fun anyway. thanks.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm posting this around, shamelessly.

Andy, people are going to think you got a very, very tiny puppy for Christmas ;0) (glad your enjoying your new computer)

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yankee, I'm confused. You can't have a 36 yr. old cat. Is that just the age of the kitchen?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Gram, it took me all night to get to level 3! DH Got the Elf certificate 3 x last night as he got a score of over 3000. Guess we know who the "big kids" are!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Pixie, I like how the other cat is sitting in the backround....thinking...

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Anita, I think you mean Yankee.....my cat's not that talented!! LOL

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Dave47 - it's the kitchen that is vintage - the cat is on his first anniversary with me.

Antia - the other cat has since learned a couple of the easier tricks herself. At 7 I didn't think that she had it in her - but she now sits on command, does "sit pretty" and walks through the hoop - jumping high like Wally does is just too undignified for a stately lady cat.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Yank, I don't believe you have the patience to teach your cats tricks. We had one that my son would drape over his shoulders like a stole and walk around the house. The cat never budged. but he never could have learned a trick. Tigger was the dopey one that would get running and run into table legs and stuff. jump up on the mantle and fall off. his mother, Rosie, was very dainty and not at all clumsy. go figure. the only trick she knew was to go out and catch mice and other assorted little rodents and bring them home half dead. so we had her spayed and didn't let her out any more.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I know a cat that can sit, shake hands and roll over on command. It will not play piano, though. lol.
