The other day I was reading on a forum about a plant that should never be fertilized with any fertilizer that had phosphate in it. I can not remember the forum or the plant. Can anyone help with that information or tell me where else to post this. I'm sure it would be either lilies, brugs or some other perennial. I realize this is probably a broad area but maybe someone will remember the conversation. Thank you Elaine
phosphate
The following link discusses phosphate fertilizing....it is not exactly a zero phosphate thing.

Phosporous doesn't move around easily in the soil, it has to be dug in. You can get it by applying bonemeal, which is better than rock or colloidal rock phosphate, but has to be applied about every 6 - 12 months. It's best to have your soil tested to see if you even are deficient in P.
