Visitors to My Garden
Color is a little bit different but does anyone else see any similarities-

I swear if you tried to drive on of those over here you would be dead in the blink of an eye. I don't even think you'd make it out of the driveway without getting whacked and reduced to a road pancake.
Well,
That seemed like a waste of my time.
All you did was criticize.
And I was told you Guys were NICE.?
Baaaah Humbug. LOL LOL .
Ha ha ha! Yes, we're small evil car bashers over here. All of us!
I kid you not... this is what my husband drives and there are more than I care to admit of this type of gas guzzling vehicle on the roads over here-

This is what I drive-

Over here, people take the speed limit and add about 20 on these rural roads. They really get moving to a good clip and there are times when I've had to wait quite a while to pull out of the subdivision here and I'm driving a full size car with a big engine. You should see what our highways are like. It's like the Indianapolis 500 with 1000x the contestants. Your jaw would be to the ground if you saw it out here. And, we Americans don't necessarily concentrate on driving mind you. We put on lipstick and eyeliner, we eat McDonald's cheeseburgers, we talk on our cell phones, we scream at our kids to behave in the back seats, we input data into our palm pilots using teenie tiny little twigs, we print off of our laptops that are positioned on the front passenger seats, and I've even seen men using battery shavers driving down the roads with their vizors down so they don't miss a spot. It's a free for all on our roads here. I swear you would be aghast and I'd be handing you a nitro pill.
I can only repeat that we'd be dead in a heart beat if we even considered driving a vehicle that small over here. We have had rental cars almost as small as that when we have travelled overseas but not over here.
Soooo, share with me what you drive (tapping my foot and waiting... tee he).
Ha ha ha, a little road construction never stopped any of the drivers over here from being jerks.
WOW! I can afford a Benz!
Entry- level model - $11,689.78
Rag top with all of the extras - $19,131.93
If you upgrade from the standard 698cc 61bhp model to the 74bhp model this baby will do 0-60 in 12.3 seconds and tops out at 94 MPH!
The 7.7 gallon tank is plenty when you can expect 60 MPG freeway driving.
Lauren, the safety features are built in:
“The steel passenger cell retains its shape in the event of a collision and reduces the effect of impact to a minimum. Other safety elements include the sandwich platform construction, front and rear crash boxes and a crash management system. To avoid a crash in the first place, theres Trustplus, an electronic stability programme which reduces power and applies gear intervention to correct the car if it swerves. Twin front airbags, ABS, self-tensioning seatbelts, knee impact bolsters and a collapsible steering column are all standard”
Why does this not surprise me? :
“The Smart was originally developed by Mercedes in conjunction with the Swiss company Swatch”

Thanks Ginger! That's funny stuff!
Always fun to throw something new into the ring Stelco
You buy one first and lets see how well you fair when my 80 year old Dad drives over you in his Hummer. Yup, that's what he drives. Scary, eh?
Scary ? Yes it is.
What colour is it?
Good grief!! Equil sure is painting a picture that I only see when I'm in or near a very large city, such as Chicago. You bring that cute little car here where I live, and I can promise nobody will run you over in it. Add 20 miles onto driving on a rural road? Eeeeks, I need to go run some errands and I need to take the Interstate. If nobody hears from me within 24 hours, consider me smashed to smithereens on the road.
AWESOME PHOTO!
Way to go ginger!
"The Decider" says that it would be too hard on the economy to do anything about pollution. It's OK to spend billions a week on a sand pit, but no Kyoto Protocol.
For what it's worth, my husband downsized from that beast he used to drive to the beast he is driving now. He currently gets about 8-10 mpg better mileage than he used to get which I guess is better than nothing but he's still driving a big SUV. I know I'm driving a newer car but I've been told to trade mine in and I will be buying a smaller car and I'd like to try a hybrid of some sort. Not much I can do about what others drive but if we all collectively start buying down, sooner or later our dollars will be talking for us, won't they? Doesn't do much about the beasts that we trade in or sell out right that are still on the roads but I would think every little bit helps us collectively get on the right track.
Looks like that third egg isn't going to hatch. I don't know squat about your birds, but I remove "dud" eggs from the nests that I monitor. They can crack and leave the contents to spoil in the nest material. This brings unwanted parasites that could weaken the two young birds. It's your call, just my thoughts. It would make more room for those hungry little ones, too. The adult Wagtails won't miss it. It appears that they have removed the egg shells from the two hatchlings, as our birds would. They carry them away from the nest to help prevent predators from finding the nest. They just can't get rid of the infertile or aborted egg.
WELL!!! Like I said "I don't know squat about your birds". Do you know if the Wagtails have continued to incubate that single egg for more than a day now? I never expect an egg to hatch a day after all others have hatched. But, you don't have snow, either! ;)

Stelco
That was exactly what I was thinking.
But I would not have thought to say it.
When I went out to look this morning,
The egg shell was already gone .
I forgot to mention .
The black stuff in the nest is Horse Hair.
We have 2 Horses.

That is one cool fence!!
Very neat fence. Who's the artist?
Hi terryr
A friend from Brisvegas, Air brushed it.
Would you like to see some more of the fence ?
Yes! That is really neat. The detail is amazing! Is that in your yard?
Very cool. I could just see that here in the states....people so busy looking at the neat fence, they aren't paying attention to what they're doing! Your friend is very talented.
The snake bit you? And then it makes your vision blurry? Oh my oh my!
