What forum would I find disucussions on Camelias? I can't seem to find the appropriate forum and I have questions about how to propagate them. I just bought a Blue's Green Susanqua...a camellia that blooms purple, then blue. It was pretty expensive (for me) and I would like to be able to root more.
Camellia Forum?
Not sure ,but how's about tree's and shrubs!!!!
How in the heck have you been????
Can't complain...no one would listen! LL! Got gingers blooming and/or putting on tons of new growth and Confederate roses starting to bloom.
How's by you?
Had buds on my confederate rose but the frost got them!!!
Just about got everything in the greenhouse, still have some brugs to dig and some passifloras to come in.
Haven't seen you post in a while, how you feeling?
Oh you know...I'd complain but who would listen? My doc skipped the country without providign for continuity of care and really caused a mess for me and a few hundred other patients. Can't even get copies of my medical records. I hate being dependent on supposed 'professionals'.
My brug is still blooming up a storm. It has another flush of buds coming up now. Each flush seems to increase bloom count by anywhere form 25% to 50%. It is a weird brug. 1/3 of the blooms ar shredded. 1/3 of them are semi shredded. 1/3 of them are normal. My other brug never did bloom this year. I think this one did so well because I buried a bunch of fish heads and guts by the roots...and the other one was planted too close to the field fance and it was a constant battle to keep the mites under control. I'm going to move it before next year. I've got a friend who bought a gorgeous peach colored brug with vareigated leaves. I'm hoping she remembers that she promised me a rooting off of it. Meanwhile, my cousin, who fishes a LOT, has ben freezing her fish heads and guts for me so I can provide all my heavy feeders with a steady supply of organic fertilizer till the fish start biting next summer.
We've had a couple of nippy nights, but most days are still in the 70s here. No frosts at all. They are predicting a slightly colder and wetter winter than usual because of the mild El Nino. We'll see. The Farmer's Almanac says the opposite.
Here is one of my C. Kimona Sakura blooming. I also have another one of them with a bud on it and a C. Miss Pearl blooming. Waiting on C. Ladawana, C. Purple Queen and C. Orange Kiss to bloom. Also my Leonatis Leonura (wild dagga) is covered with buds and a few have nice furry orange Lion's tails hanging out. Don't you wish you lived here? Come on down when you get ready to retire...Bring the green house so we can grow orchids...
That flower looks just like the hidden ginger flower, mine is over 6 ft never a bloom one!!!
Yep fish heads are the best!!!!
My lions tail; are done blooming for the year,10ft tall too!
Might retire to where Rylaff lives around Fort Walton area!!!!
Well, OK, but you will have to come up and see me. I'm about 2.5 hours further inland than she is so I don't have to worry about hurricanes as much.
Wouldn't miss you for the world!!!
I'll be waiting....as will Rylaff.
