It's in California.

The trees are Monterey pines. There is another species of lichen that hangs on oak trees but I didn't see any of that in this area.

Sorry I missed the post that it's in San Luis Obispo County. I'm still new and figuring out how we play...so if this next guess is off or too wide of an area ignore that too, LOL!
