L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Not northern CA. Not ice but it had rained the night before.

Peterstown, WV(Zone 6a)

is it in the Sierra Madres?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Not in the Sierra Madres. Not really in any mountain range exactly.

Burlingame, CA(Zone 9a)

Is it Malibu State Creek Park?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

No, not that far south.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Is it in San Luis Obispo county? (Did I spell that right??)

Burlingame, CA(Zone 9a)

Is it in Monterey County?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

It is in San Luis Obispo County.

Nichols, IA(Zone 5a)

That is the neatest picture!!! Are they some sort of pine tree?

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

How about Oregon? Did anyone guess that yet?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

It's in California.

The trees are Monterey pines. There is another species of lichen that hangs on oak trees but I didn't see any of that in this area.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Is it San Bernardo Creek?

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

Sorry I missed the post that it's in San Luis Obispo County. I'm still new and figuring out how we play...so if this next guess is off or too wide of an area ignore that too, LOL!

Is it in Los Padres National Forest?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Not San Bernardo Creek. Not in Los Padres National Forest.

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

Quoting:
Not in Los Padres National Forest.

That just ruined my whole strategy for figuring this out!

New guess...your back yard??

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

How about Burnett Creek?

Is it north or south of San Luis Obispo, the city?

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

It isn't Plaskett Creek is it?

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Yaro Creek, Yeguas Creek, Adobe Creek, Yerba Buena Creek, Mustard Creek, Navajo Creek, Laguna, Arroyo, New River, Nipomo Creek

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

ROTFLOL!!! Let's not forget San Luis Obispo Creek and Pismo Creek. This is absolutely driving me crazy!

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Nowhere near my back yard. North of San Luis Obispo the city. None of the creeks named so far.

Burlingame, CA(Zone 9a)

Osos Creek, Riconada Creek???

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Nope.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Toro Creek?

Burlingame, CA(Zone 9a)

Chorro Creek?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

No, none of those, either.
