I just found this with it's head burried deep in the center of one of my roses.
Help, please?

It is a grasshopper. They do eat plants.
Looks more like a katydid to me.

Ditto here. I vote for katydid.
I had some of those too. And lots of holes in the rose bushes that they were sitting on. Is there a way to prevent and/or get rid of them?
Thanks everyone! Folks in the Southwest Forum said the same thing and provided links to photos. I just need to find the bugger and get rid of it today. LOL
