Wildflower cover

Would it be safe to sow a groundcover of wildflowers over where I have glads and tulips. Will the wildflowers strangle my bulbs? Stupid question but I have too much money invested in my bulbs to take a chance.

I've grown wildflowers in my daff glad, daylily garden for two seasons, they have done well. I've really enjoyed them.. the wildflowers start thier show just after the daff blooms go, and the glads are tall so I can see them, here is a pic of my wildflower garden after daffs die down...
