o0/~la la la la la laaaaaaa o0/~ *Babs dances 'round and 'round* We have tomatoes, we have tomatoes, the first ones we've been able to grow in 15 years!!! o0/~ tra la la la la laaaaa o0/~
Lookie here, lookie there, tomatoes, tomatoes, everywhere!!!! One couldn't believe for a moment that I'm excited, can one? *giggle*

Now, what am I going to make from this royal booty? Hmmm, maybe a tomato and crab salad or bruchetta or maybe just sliced tomatoes? Hmmm, I'll have to ponder on this one. DH will have a say in the decision too. I have a feeling he will vote for the bruchetta. He's really into tomatoes, mozarella and olive oil infused with spices.

I took time out today to get after a project I've been wanting to get done. One of the lab techs at work had a baby boy and I've wanted to get a crib comforter made for him and I did it today. I still have to tie the comforter, but essentially it's done. Whew! That has been weighing on my mind so much and I just haven't been able to get after the project. Now I have to make another one for another lab tech who's wife is preggy and they are having a girl. Must be something in the chemicals in the lab causing all these techs to be preggy at the same time.

I'm off to watch a little tv with DH and then call it a night. I've got a few errands and chores to do in the morning and I need my beauty sleep. I hope everyone is well and enjoying their evening. Many blessings all around....

With care, ~Babs~

Babs, nah, just check back and see what the weather was like 9 months ago. Cold means more snuggling. LOL

drat, Maria, so sorry to hear you real sick again.

M5, love your kitty cushion. the one made of real cats I mean.

Sarv, thats a great shot of that bridge. I'd close my eyes. Well, not if me driving. How beautifully blue the lake is. And as long as the legs get us up there it's okay if they complain the next day.

~~waving at everybody and now back to lurking.

I'm sorry but I haven't gotten caught up on everything so please let me get by with a ~~~ for tonight and I'll catch up tomorrow.

BIG & RICH LYRICS

"8th Of November"

Said goodbye to his momma as he left South Dakota
To fight for the red, white and blue
He was 19 and green with a new M-16
Just doing what he had to do
He was dropped in the jungle where the choppers would rumble
With the smell of napalm in the air
And the sergeant said...look up ahead
Like a dark evil cloud, 1,200 came down on him and 29 more
They fought for their lives but most of them died in the 173rd Airborne

[Chorus:]
On the 8th of November the angels were crying
As they carried his brothers away
With the fire raining down and the hell all around
There were few men left standing that day
Saw the eagle fly through a clear blue sky
1965, the 8th of November

Now he's 58 and his pony tail's gray
But the battle still plays in his head
He limps when he walks but he's strong when he talks
About the shrapnel they left in his leg
He puts on a gray suit over his Airborne tattoo
And he ties it on one time a year
And remembers the fallen as he orders a tall one
And swallows it down with his tears

[Chorus]

Saw the eagle fly through a clear blue sky
1965...
On the 8th of November the angels were crying
As they carried his brother away
With the fire raining down and the hell all around
There were few men left standing that day

[Chorus]

Said goodbye to his momma as he left South Dakota
To fight for the red, white and blue
He was nineteen and green with a new M-16
Just doing what he had to do

If only women ran the world
There would be no war

No children sent away to fight
For land or oil or more.

There would be room
For every faith,
And peace would be our creed

If only women ran the world.
and put an end to greed.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

ya know, there's a lot of truth to that!

Amen Meezers!
