Like many other places, we have lots of building going on here -- many new condos on the beach for example. I've been watching a couple of these and when one in particular was doing their landscaping I noticed they were stacking up all the empty nursery pots when they'd transplanted the plants. I had to stop at the site about 4-5 times and then call the project manager but I managed to score about 100 nursery pots!!! All different sizes and I could take what I wanted. I took mostly 1 gal pots but got a number of smaller ones and a bunch of 5 gal. I got enough to share with my sister who is a Master Gardener and a nut about starting plants like me.
If anyone needs some pots keep an eye out! Most of these landscaping companies don't reuse the pots -- they just buy the plants and discard the pots.
