it seems every year, around this time, this nasty stuff shows up. any ideas on how to get rid of it?
thank you in advance for any help.

powdery mildew on my squash plants
spray with either a mix of water and milk (the cheapest skim or fat-free will do) or a mix of baking soda and water. i prefer the milk method myself. 1 part milk, 2 parts water. spray early in the morning.
trackinsand, thank you very much for the info. i'm going to try it first thing in the morning. i already have leaves dying off and turning brown. hope i get it in time.
thanks again , Sal
good luck and let me know if it works for you. sometimes what works in one garden, doesn't in another. i'm always curious to see the results. debi
hi debi,
sorry, but i haven't been near the computer in a while. i never got the chance to use your method on this one particular plant (my daughter beat me to it, using a commercially produced, organic spray). but around this time of year, mildew starts to run rampant on mostly the squash family of plants. i will try your method and let you know how it works out.
by the way, my daughters spray didn't work, most of the plant withered and died.
thanks again, will keep in touch. sal
yes, do let me know. thanks for keeping in touch.
