Coffee...and for July 28, 2006 We came from over here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/631763/
Okay, keep the celebration down, some are still sleeping, IT"S TGIF!! My most favorite day when I was working. I started to plan the weekend on Wednesday, no matter if it was work or play, I was always glad to see FRIDAY. Now tell us what today has in store, and what you have planned for the weekend. Me, I am freezing corn today, and the weekend brings a mystery shopper restaurant visit on Saturday night, and of course church on Sunday. What are you doing?

Coffee...and for July 28, 2006
Went to bed at 10:30pm and now it is 1am - can't sleep, so got up. It is so blasted hot tonight that I feel like I am in a sweat bath. I should crank on the air I suppose...hot flashes have returned, so I 'm not sure if it is really the weather or the internal furnace blasting.
VI- I strap on my pedometer often - I try get in 10,000 steps a day - that's 5 miles. During gardening season, I can get that easily, but the rest of the year, it's a challenge. Which reminds me, I need to put new batteries in mine. All those concerts sound wonderful!!
Last night after our rain, I went back out and finished 'mighty planting' all my gardens. About an hour later another storm rolled in...it feels like we're living in the tropics!! Rain, sun, rain, sun. But nothing like cece!! Did you say 4 inches?? My phlox are bending over, but they are top heavy and the least little moisture tips them over.
I updated all my garden lists tonight- I received 10 plants from the co=op and got three of them in. The rest have to go in my sun beds and it is just too hot to put them there yet.
Darius- 4 overturned trucks in 3 weeks!! That is scarey. Around here on the highways it seems the trucks are going pell mell - way over the speed limit. I'm surprised there aren't more accidents.
Hope Mr. B is getting his energy level back up - love really saps the strengh (if I remember LOL) Just like a man to eat and then fall asleep - right Oz??? You're being a stinker...might have to use the 2x4 on you yet!
Had cheese curds for the first time last week and loved them. They squeek when you chew them - plus are tasty. Gonna check to see if our local store carries them.
I'm taking grape salad to my brothers tonight. DH wants some glop we had camping. It was sliced strawberries, grapes, pineapple, and blueberries all held together with that gel you use for strawberry pie. It was good, but very very sweet. If the fruit is on sale, I'll make a bowl for him...he's not a nut eater and the grape salad is topped with pecans.
Well, time to check out some other forums- we need a night owl forum
UHHHGGGGGG...I just lost everything I typed with stupid move of the mouse!! I HAVE to go get a shower...I'll make more comments in the morning..I took notes:)
VAnne sounds like a wonderful time and plenty of exercise for for kids. Twins you say? How old? Sending a pic of my twins...my cousin's girls. Their momma is a loser and they have the best daddy and a great family support system and I do have to say they love me. They went out crabby(oops, crabbing they were not crabby), not crapping LOL, all though I wish my body could get that down.
Mary I do agree on the crab here..I do enjoy Maine lobster. I once saw a momma cow and baby seperated for good...broke my heart! I woud hate being that kind of farmer!
Sheila~ Cute yard! Darling tractor! Lots of rain. I want a good mid west thunder and lighting show. Someday I will share my DSinL and I's 3 week vacation across the bottom southern states to Pensilcola FL up to Illinois, then across the Plains..magnificant~!
MCDoo~Tomomorrow is another day,,,,yesterday is history...got out and have fun! What kind of store do you have?
Ernie drift wood, good idea! We stay fairly close to our pots. We did get a real buoy from my Dad. My boys will whine because I painted something on the bumper but oh well, my boat my rules!
Ernie I will find the name of that plant for you...You have a purpley one in your back yard.
The new McMansion sounds EXACLY like my D-sis-IL>>>>I think I will pass this stuff out to see her reaction. Not that I'm saying I couldn't use a few more $$$
My DH and I could absolutely live in a shack (with a flushy pottie) and be soooo happy!
I want a HOBO store here~!!!
I love lighening shows.! My sis-in-law took our kids on a 3 week vacation, had a blast!
I'll to finish torrow! Sorry...
Best wishs and prayers to Maria in her travels home! Sounds like your DFs kept you busy.
Ernie~ How is Abby?
Falling a sleep here, eating too many taffys...pretty soon I'll have the 40 lbs I just lost back!
Oh ya! My niece and I did locks of love last Sat after the Relay for Life, I had 10" she had13" we have my grandothers braid, I'm sending it too, We will have 3 generations........my niece was only 7, her hair to her bum!
Will send pics of kids and twins later... I can't even type..I'm soo tired
More tomorrow, shower and clean sheets are calling my name.K~
OH MY GOSH!!! I don't even drink!!! I had to go back and edit a lot!!! That was horrible. No more typing when I'm that tired!!!!! Sorry everyone!

Defo----- I remember you saying somehting about someone in your family playing horseshoes and being up there in the state standings. My monday evening partner won a world campionship in elder mens class in Wyoming last week. He thinks i am going to be a hot shot but i do not think so. I started playing at 65 yrs of age. I been lucky so far. I have been in 4 tournaments and have never won one but have never been below third. But I have periods where I am so terrible you would think I never threw one before.
Hi Oz, You're up early. But it was real morning when you wrote. Hope you weren't just having trouble sleeping.
Hi to everyone else also. Won't write much. Fingers aren't working on the computer yet and I've got to get a quick breakfast and out to aquafit. Plan to take the bus downtown later but might have a chance to tie up my tomatoes which have gone wild in the last few days.
Somermoone - the twins are DD's and they were 4 in early April. A boy and a girl and lots of fun.
~~~~ to everyone else. Have a great day.
Ann
Morning everyone!!
Today I will keep it short.The sandhill cranes were in the yard when I went to get coffee. We've been watching to pairs. One has a 2 young and the other has only one. They are just so cool to watch. They don't seem scared of anything.
cece,M5,sarv48 and anybody else Sorry you got such heavy rains. It is always heartbreaking when that happens after all the work we do.
Vann cute twins. They look adorable all dressed up.
cece good luck with DGD. I just saw it done on tv the other night with a 3 yr old. They do give them a sedative so they nap. She won't have the memories you do.
BBL Vicki
I forgot to mention I have abunch of Basket of Gold Alyssium to dig up. Anybody interested??
TGIF!!!!!!!!!! One more day of work and then a break. Whew! Just getting ready now for work and I get to go in late today because boss asked me to run an errand for her on the way in. Maybe I will miss some of that awful rush hour traffic.
Ann- your grandtwins are so adorable! I will have to post some pics of my kids on here sometime but dont have time right now.
Sarv- I know exactly what you mean about feeling like the tropics! We are getting downpours and then really hot, which makes it just steamy! YUCK!
Must go dry my hair and get out of here. Hope everyone has a great day!
Katy
katy-can't imagine how tropical it must be there!
sarv-I feel like I'm sitting in a sauna and I'm having hot flashes too. i wondered if I had acquired some tropical disease! We have had a couple short hard showers, and then the sun comes right out to keep it a steam bath. It was like this last summer too. Cheese curds are great in a tomato basil salad as a change from mozzarella, too.
Ann-Those twins are adorable and I so enjoy hearing about the joys of grammahood!
ves - would love to see a picture of the cranes! We watched a mother woodpecker teach her 3 fledglings how to eat suet on our deck! What fun! It makes sense that the little guys on their first flight test wouldn't be able to control their flight enough to make a precise landing. It was funny over the course of the days to watch their progress.
I01- is it searing hot there too I guess? Are you in the A/C?
defoecat-Can't wait until our corn comes in. DO you just strip it from the cobs and put it in freezer bags?
G'Morning... although not so good for me. I didn't have enough sleep... my own fault. I talked to Dmc waaaaay too long last night because I was having fun conversation. New helpers should be here at 9am and I need time first to revive. This is a day I wish I had my coffee pot!
dmc, no, I blanch it on the cob, cool it and then cut it off and freeze. First batch is on now. Will be back to comment later.
Bonnie, how many pints do you get out of a bushel of corn?
darius-Sorry!! I'm full of ideas now though, so that usually energizes me! (Well, that AND a pot of coffee)
Good morning! Vi those twins are so adorable. I love pics of little kids. They're always so cute.. Loved their little smiles.
Have clean up to do this morning, small tree limbs and leaves and beaten down plants to stake. I'll probably just lurk ahile when coming in to cool off. BL cherie
My new helpers are already late. Wonder if they will show up at all?
Well, I'm up, but not feeling human...between no sleep and the sauna, I'm exhausted...
.
Went for a garden walk this morning - things are dripping.
I really need to go to the grocery store, but the thought of it makes me want to curl up with a book!! I have one I want to finish today, so I may just do that!
We didn't plant much corn this year, so I don't plan on doing any up -just enjoy it fresh. Our second planting didn't germinate (DH used old seed) There's always next year! My one lone cucumber plant is starting to twine up the support. (with help!)
Friends of our just got a new grandbaby from China. They had an online journal and it was fun following their progress. She is a beautiful little girl. They arrived back in the states after a 15 hour plane ride to a huge group waiting for them at the airport. She'll be one loved little gal!!
Well, time to get the beds made and the dishes done...
oh Darius- not a good sign.....
Darius - sure hope they show up and you don't have a problem with too many at one time. As Sarv said - not a good sign they are late.
Re grandparenting - I hope you all have the opportunity to enjoy it. They take you back to simpler times. And when things get compllicated you can return them to their parents.
Vicki - would love to see the cranes.
Well, I've got about an hour before I head out to the bus. Better go make good use of it.
Ann
Well, I am back, and the corn is in the freezer. Darius, I don't really know about a bushel, but I had 2 five gallon buckets full, and I had 29 pints. Does that help?
Well sorry that some had trouble sleeping, whatever the reason, and sorry that some are out doing cleanup after the storms. My internal furnace has been settled for a few days, so hope that someone doesn't turn up the thermostat. Real nice sleeping, when you don't have to uncover, cover up, and do it all again!!
Viann, have an enjoyable day at the concerts.
ves, interesting about the cranes. Wish I had the opportunity here. The most interesting bird here is the mockingbirds, and listening to them chatter. They have given up on terrorizing Miss Boots, the cat, as she almost got one last year.
All this talk about grandkids, they are great, aren't they? Just have the one DGD, but she is a very good child. She helped with the corn this morning, thought that was really neat. Her other grandfather had a heart attack on Wed night, and she wants to go to the hospital to see him, but her mother wants her to wait until tomorrow afternoon.
Well, gotta get moving again, have some cucumbers calling my name, they want to be put in some brine and pickled!!
Sorry for not commenting to all, have read it all, but no time now to do the individuals. BBL ~~~~~~
Sorry to keep asking questions, but, how do you do your pickles? Crock or canning jar?
Well the cleanup wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Picked the majority of the big twigs actually used them to stake up the bee balm, phlox and the coreopsis. I had read somewhere where they make great stakes. I get Garden Gate and Birds and Blooms. It was in one of those mags. I didn't clean off the patio yet. Needs to dry up alittle more than I'll just take my leaf blower and instant cleanup. Easier than moving patio furniture around and plant pots.
Driveway and front porch got swept and straightened up. Forgot my chair cushions out there so those had to get hung on the line to drip dry. There was no standing water in any of the beds last night after about an hour which I guess is a good thing. Means my drainage is good. Its pretty sandy here so when I dug the beds out I added manure compst and topsoil. Didn't really know what I was doing but I guess I guessed right.
Does anyone know when Iris' should be divided? I heard after they bloom but mine didn't bloom this year though the leaves are pretty tall and stately. That means overcrowding already? or not enough sun? I plan to move them to a sunnier location just not sure if I should wait for spring or do it in fall. Any suggestions?
Haven't the heart to cut some of those purple coneflowers back so I think I'll wait a couple days and see whats what.
Back inside. Did some watering. Picked cukes. Did some deadheading but that was hotter to do then walking around and watering. Went to the neighbors and they were back from their trip. Heard about Spain and the dry heat there. A bit about the food. How expensive everything was.
I've never gotten pictures of the cranes and with the little ones[which are half grown] we don't see to much of them. We see them more in the spring. Will try to get pictures. Then have to find a way to post them. I've only got my old 110 camera. Hey it still works good!
Hi and ~~~~~~ to everybody!
later
Back in again - sweating like a hog-need to do a birdie bath and head to the store.
Just peeked in the bluebird box and we have 4 babies...something got the eggs 2 other times. This time they were successful so far!!
Neighbor just came over and said our cat is terrorizing their 2 cats. He was laughing and said "I wish you could see them!" Thank goodness he was laughing - I don't know how I'd keep her in our yard. There's never come in our yard - they are real scaredy cats.
Well, gotta bamboose and get that salad a going
Hi everyone
Well, I've done my morning walk and to my amazement everything seems to be okay. I don't see how it can flood like that and not tear down my tomato plants. I am glad I picked tomatoes yesterday, though. There are some sticks out there, but nothing big.
Defoe, that sounds about right to me on the corn. I cut mine off first and then blantch it. I usually get around 12 to 14 pt. to a bushel ... of course that depends on the variety of corn. When blanching it thickens and I keep a pot of hot water to add to keep it from sticking. Oh are you making sweet or dill pickles? I've only done pickles once and they were those refrigerator pickles.
To everyone who had those horrid storms ... I'm thinking about you and hope your beautiful gardens spring back.
Darius I hope you hear from the guys before long.
Well, got chores calling my name.
My helpers showed about 9:45 after getting lost. Can't really blame them for that. I have to say that so far, the husband is a Keeper! (And cute to boot!) He's intelligent, and works dilligently without much direction. They just left for lunch.
I won't keep the wife after she cleans my windows. Right now I have her applying Dri-Loc to the inside walls of the root cellar. She had never held a paintbrush before, so of course she is covered in paint! I hope she will get to the windows today but if not, another day.
Mike is cleaning out the workshop shed near the bees but they seem okay with the slight intrusion. He has to take down old worktops and some wall mounted cabinets, probably from the old house kitchen. I hope to get 4 shelf units put in there today and tools out of my living room. I have a lock for the hasp so I'm not worried about theft.
If my other Mike (yardman) shows up, we will segue and get stuff from storage, hoping it doesn't rain. If it rains, we need to work on organizing the garden shed.
Might be a good day afterall!
Well the monsoons have set in...again. And I'm sticking to everything I touch. Yuck.
Have to take Maddie, the dog, to get stitchens out from her fatty tumor removal. She's 10 and has developed some benign tumors, and they finally reached a size where they were bothering her. I'm looking forward to going to the vet's just to get out of the house. I'm frustrated with the weather.
I'm glad too that I picked tomatoes last night. I used some of the pesto and about a quart of sungold tomatoes quartered and added them to pasta, and it was just heaven. Sungolds are so sweet, and the pesto was fresh from the garden. Tonight I'll make tomato basil salad with maple balsamic vinaigrette and fresh mozzarella. I NEVER get sick of fresh tomatoes and basil!! Maybe I would if I lived in the south, but I could eat some variation every single day for months!!
Well, at least the rain is cooling the air a bit. It was just thick with humidity this morning. Here's the garden, and you can see the haze
Good morning. Cece, those fresh branches you used to prop up smashed plants might take root, especially if they are any kind of willow or cottonwood. I used some branches like that to make bean teepees, they were too fresh and they rooted. I had a heck of a time getting them picked up in the fall. They looked so funny with fresh twigs growing out the sides all over them! 4inches in an hour did you say? Or was that somebody else? Wow! wherever it is that's almost half of our total precipitation for the year and you got it that fast!!
Fritz (Jack Russell Terrier) just took me for a long walk down the road. It's sunny and windy this morning, no smokey smell since the wind is blowing the smoke into Idaho, but the fire was over 30,000 acres as of last evening. A lot of homes were evacuated. The wind blew all night so I emagine it is much bigger today. Another fire is burning over in central Oregon in an area where we plan to have an endurance ride in about 2 weeks. That one has a lot of people concerned. People have evacuated their horses to safer areas, and at last report a whole town was threatened. Some subdivisions there also evacuated yesterday.
This weekend there is a 2 day ride in Idaho, but I can't go, Breezy is still on medication and Patch needs more time and slow rehab miles before he can compete. So, I will water my garden, mow the lawn, pull weeds and think of all the fun I'm missing. Some of my teammates are going and so I hope they get some points for the team. Yesterday after they said they were going they checked the weather forecast and learned how hot it was going to be, so I hope nobody chickened out. The ones who are going live on the cooler and wetter side of the mountains but it has also been very hot there. I thought about volunteering to go and crew for them but I can't because Breezy needs meds every 12 hours, and I don't want to take a coughing horse to a ride camp. He doesn't have anything contageous but a cough always makes the other horse owners worry.
A while ago AmandaPanda was stalking birds. They were perched on a fence rail, and she was walking along the top of the rails watching them and trying to keep her balance. They kept moving to another rail so she never could catch up with them. She is so pudgy that she is not the most graceful or coordinated kitty we ever had, so I think the birds are pretty safe.
Darius, I hope your helpers showed up.
Sarv, awww, baby bluebirds, how neat. I hope they all make it.
ViAnn, cute grandkids. Enjoy the concerts. You are really getting your exercise this week with all the walking between them.
Time to get outside before it gets hot. Patch needs his therapy ride before it gets hot today, and I have watering and weeds to keep me busy. See you later ~~~.
ViolaAnn twins adorable , so sweet.. mine are some where in photos..Have great day everyone.. and week end.. take care everyone.. blessings.
** ceecoogan think can now devide them or in march, april.most mine did not either going to move them now this month maybe its sept. when do? i just do when ever...lol...I'm sure no help... sorry..
Twyla
MaryE These brachtwigs definstely not fresh. They snap too easily. What we need to do DH and I is to this out those canopies fo the dead and leafles wigs. Get some light in. Mentioned it to DH couple times and last night wouldn't you know I got see? Mother natue took care of it. I don't need to prune trees. Darn storm. They'll only be there to hold up my plants for awhile. Some of the plants look like they're recovering quite nicely on there own.
Yes, 4 inches of rain in 40 min.,actually.. Parts of the county got up to 6!Its pretty high on this end of town so we didn't flood but near downtown and on the northwest side of the city so some people over there had water in the rods up to their car windowa. Fel sorry for those who had parked in the street with their windows down.Glad we don't see that happening all that often
I've been hearing about the fires and ........if its all the same to me I'd rather have the watered in the roads up to my knees. Fire scares me. When I was ayoung child our house caught fire and I've been a maniac about ever since.
Good luck to all who have that and other weather related difficulties.
I wish I knew how to pickle freeze and stuff like every one is talking about. Maybe I'd end up tomatoes cukes and corn gardens as well. But alas, I know nothing of the sort. I can cook but only enough to get by because we need to eat...............Thats the extent of it.
~~~~~~~~~~~to everyone else. Cherie
Well, I'm not cooking today! LOL I've got Tyson Southern Style chicken tenders, mac and cheese from the deli and broccoli I'm going to steam. Hey y'all ... broccoli was $2.99 for a tiny little bunch ... but laying right over to the side they had 2 bags of floweretts for $3. Hmmm, am I an idiot or something ... but hey I chose the already trimmed up and gorgeous bags of floweretts!!! LOL
As far as putting up veggies go ... guess I've done a little of all the southern stuff. I don't do it much anymore except for a bag here or there, but use to put it up by the bushels. Always had my freezer full. Living in the south you can get most everything all year long.
Okay, that's my story and I'm stickin to it! LOL
~~~~~~
Mary-those wildfires are frightening and heartbreaking. I can't imagine having to try to evacuate the animals and then wait, but the alternative is much worse. I can't even imagine having to breathe that smoke for area that's affected by it. I agree, I'd rather have the wet....but boy, wouldn't it be nice to have a little of both for all of us?
And for the forests, the damage will be visible for our lifetimes.
Finally home, it is blistering hot outside so i'm glad to be in the cool air, at last.
Casey, did you get the diagnosis and update from the Dr. on your DH? Don't you just hate the suspense of waiting. I hope it's good news and they can correct the problem for him without a lot of additional pain.
Is Maria home yet? Is today her travel day? If so, we probably won't hear until tomorrow.
McCool, today had to be an improvement over yesterday....what a day you had!
Somer, if I could walk out the door and go crabbing, I would be out there every day! And you're right, your boat, your rules!!! I used to tell my kids when they were complaining about something, get a job and go pay rent where you think you can do as you please.
Oz, horseshoes must be a lot like golf, one day I'm just fine, and the next I'm just hacking up sod and cussing.
Bonnie, that's how I do corn, clean, blanch, cut and freeze. Except I do the cutting out on the deck so the kitchen floor doesn't look like the zoo parade just went buy. I clean it out there too. Have a few ears leftover from dinner last night, and some pasta with green beans so I think dinner tonight is leftovers. Good enough for a Friday.
Dorothy, it looks like your garden likes the weather a lot better than you do, it's so nice and lush. Great colors. I didn't get much damage from the bad storm, my phlox were already floppped over, and I had just propped them up before it hit, so they survived fine. Just leaning a little further south than they were yesterday at this time....LOL I'd go out and move a tomato plant that's in the wrong place, but IT"S TOO HOT.
Hi to all, if I've not commented to you about something you asked, remind me what it was....(if you remember)
Sheila
I am so sorry for the previous posting with sooooo many mistakes! I was tired last night! Plus, I take something for sleep because I DO NOT sleep without it. The last two years have been crazy. I have always been a light sleeper but now I'm a prime candidate for the sleep center. Dr. wants me to go but I just hate the whole Dr. thing...in and out, time consuming. I've had enough of it in the past year and half to last the rest of my life. I would tell everyone I felt like it was Mardi Gras and I wasn't getting any beads!!! I do believe you should get pink beads for everytime you have to show your stuff!!! I use to be pretty modest. Now I'm so happy with the results I'll show anyone...look out!
Here are my twins (cousin's girls) with my dorky SinL in the background.
We have a family get together this evening so will be taking crab as our donation. We'll work on getting more to you, Ernie next week:)
CeCe~ In our area we divide the Iris' now. I don't know if I'm doing it right...digging them up, seperating them and cutting tops to about 4", sticking them back in the ground. I have probably ruined all my Aunties beautiful blue Iris' I have some from next door that I am doing too.
I have a great recipe for zuccini mock apple pie...Can't even tell.
Gotta run...my DSinL just showed up to make pinatas for family reunion next weekend. Fiesta Theme....K~
Dorothy - was that a general question or a specific one to Bonnie about dills? I don't do them every year any more, but every few years I buy a bushel of cukes and do them. Years ago I won a first place at the local exhibition for them. Mine are processed in canning jars - but only for about 5 minutes. Nowdays I put a chunk of cayenne pepper in too.
Sarv - a terror cat? Good luck. Hope the neighbour keeps laughing.
Elaine - glad you didn't have a lot of damage.
Darius - you day sounds llike it's turing out better than it started. Hope it all goes well.
Dorothy - I bet the same system came through here, but maybe we were on the fringe of it. When I was walking between concerts about 12:30, the air was so thick you could practically cut it. When I finished, about 3:15, the air had cleared and it wasn't nearly so humid. I don't think it actually rained here though.
Mary, sorry you can't go on the ride, but I guess time for good rehab is important.
somermoone - how old are the twins in your family? Are they identical? Certainly look quite a bit alike. Lovely girls.
Hi to everyone else I didn't specifically address.
Need to get out and do a couple of errands before dinner and before I head out to the evening concert. Don't think I told you but just before I headed out to the bus I phoned the volunteer coordinator. She actually picked up her phone. I asked if she was sure she didn't need anyone at the 2 or 8 pm concerts. She replied that she needed a head usher at 2 which is just about my favourite job other than working stage if I know the musicians. (It has authority, but not final responsibility). So I did that. But this evening, I'll just be in the audience, I think. It's a big enough church that I don't think I need to worry about being in line too early.
BBL
Ann
Whew, a LOT accomplished today!
Mike #2 (newbie as opposed to Mike #1 who mows for me) is just wonderful. Got all the boards put up in the attic, lots of stuff piled on them including half of what remained in storage here. The rest of storage items mostly went in my sister's bedroom, no room for a bed now but it's her stuff. It was a $150 day but well worth it. (That was for 3 helpers.) Never got the windows cleaned but that's on for tomorrow.
Mike #2 cleared out the woodshop and tomorrow shelves go in and my tools moved out of the office room. Yippee!! Found a nasty nest of yellow jackets in a wall cavity there, Ugh.
I have almost reclaimed my front porch except for about 10 feet. Then there's the back porch full of tools and building stuff that won't fit in the new woodshop. Good thing we are starting a storage building in the barn next week!
BBL. ~~~ to everyone!
Temp 95~~~~feels like 101~~~~humidity 39%~~~~wind 5-13 mph
I'm just hoping it cools down enough to do a couple of things tonight.
dmc good picture and your flowers are realy pretty.Haze makes them look brighter.
ViAnn bet tose grandkids are fun to be with.
MaryE sorry you had to miss your ride.
cece I taught myself how to can and freeze.My mom never did it and there was no family living close [when we moved down here] to help me.I learned to use a pressure canner but am afraid of the computer. I'm getting better with the computer without my DS to complain about what I am doing.
somermoone cute twins.Do you get to see them alot?
darius glad your help showed up and that you are pleased with what got done. .$150 for 3 people doesn't sound bad.or was it for 2 people?
Ves, that was for 2 people for 6 hours each, and 1 person for 4 hours.
darius I saw your pictures on Out of Limbo#2 That is going to be a great garden spot. I am so envious of all that green. We are so brown and dry. If they ever take an arial picture of your place that would be neat to see. We got one years ago. Just a small one but there has been alot of changes since.
