seed starting site

Does anyone know a good site that will allow me to either
type in or click on a seed name to get the info. I tried
GrowGuide Online and they only had a few of the seeds I was looking for.
I know I wont be able to get to the bookstore until the weekend and figured if I could get a headstart before then I would feel alot better. I have soooo many seeds and dont know what to do with most of them and I am getting a little anxious about it. (I feel like I just received 75 packs of kids.....times that by maybe 30 per pack...) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

These are seed databases with germination info.

Since there are over 20,000 plants, some like tomatoes have over 6,000 varieties, can you narrow the field a tad.

Byron

LOL Byron!!! See this is what I am talking about! Too Darn many plants out there. Do we really need 6000 different varieties of tomatoes??? I was thinking more along the lines of the kinds of seeds that people have on their "have" lists....just ordinary (and some not-so-ordinary) flowers or trees.
I am not as familiar as I should be with the computer and I guess I assume that someone has set up a site that can explain things to me as if I were a 6 year old. My 14 year old makes this computer "thingie" look so easy!
Have a great day

Jean: Thanks for the good site for germination info - Backyard Gardener. Will be a great help to me.

Just a reminder about the Backyard Gardener site..you can save the database to your word document to read offline (save those online minutes for Davesgarden activity!) or you can print it out (35 pages) to save as a desk reference!

Hi Jean
I immediatly checked those sites that you posted and I put them on my favorites. I then read on to the other post and was going to post a thank you and Byrons post about 6000 tomato plants got me onto another subject and I totally forgot to post my thank you. ( I am really starting to think I have Attention Deficiate Disorder!!)
Anyway thanks so much for the info.

You are very welcome Janice and Grits. Byron's tomotoes cracked me up too! I guess I use Backyardgardner the most for germination info. and include this info on my seed packets when I trade, so as to save others some "search time".

Found this one hiding in my bookmarks.
