I'm throwing in the towel....

Jeanette - My cute little undies wedgie, you assume way too much. I'm actually much lazier than you can visualize. However, I must correct you on one thing....I did get that waterfall to work, it's just keeping it working that's a pain. I have to clean the stupid filter every single day, and toots, cleaning is not my forte. In reality, I pretty much only do what I like to do and very few things I don't like to do. Life is short, why spend it cooking, cleaning, being a nice and wholesome person, gutting poor little Bambi, etc. I do like to garden, but I mainly grow tropicals and lots of them. You said I couldn't get my brugs to bloom. You take that back! In the past, I've had tons of blooms except for that stinking HG thing.

Yes, I actually cook, but very seldom. When I have guests over, I usually make a brisket in a cooking bag (Sidney and I exchanged recipes), and the rest of the meal consists of baked potatoes and other assorted easy stuff. I've only put 14 of my friends in the hospital so far. One died, but I didn't like her anyway and her husband even thanked me. Most of the people don't so much come back for the food, they come back because of my charming and sparkling personality. For myself, I will fry up some chicken gizzards because there is no place here that has them and I mean no place. The rest is carry-out, frozen, or I go to restaurants a lot. So there, how you under-estimated me.

My mom has a sense of humor much like mine without the twisted part. My twistedness came from my dad. Now that I've discovered that both you and 2pugs are both evil, mean, and hateful (qualities I extremely admire in my friends), that's probably why we get along.

You're asking for a pic of my yard again? I thought I posted that once before. But since you're such a demanding force (which turns me on), your wish is my command. Here it is:

WOW what a yard. I can see you don't have much luck with the tropicals either. Or are they on the other side of your house. Or is that your greenhouse?

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Oh good grief, now you are attacking 2 pugs. How crude. What was it you said? evil, mean and hateful? I do think that pugs can take care of her/his? self. See, now you have me doing that with everybody. I do not know anyone's gender on this show.

I can absolutely tell that cleaning is not your forte. You say that waterfall is working but you only showed us the cover on the box. Remember Chunx? Not the real McCoy. And, as far as tropicals go, they must be in those wash machines you have out there 'cause I do believe they like humidity.

I remember Sidney's recipe but I doubt that she wanted yours. Probably just to try to make you feel a little good like she might think you could actually cook that brisket. And I'll bet the baked spuds looked like hockey pucks. People that resort to frozen, take-out, or microwave cooking disgust me. You had better not plan on moving up here. We do not have stores nearby that sell any of that stuff. Everything from scratch Baby or you will starve.

BTW Chunx, what happened to Randy, Sherry, and the rest of the real cool crowd??? You ran them off with your sooooo pleasant disposition didn't you? Now you go find them and apologize.

Also, I can imagine you can eat chicken gizzards. They are so tough it would take one to be able to. Now give me the hearts and livers anyday.

You are so bad..... funny, funny, funny. I just picked up on the thread again because I can't take too much at one time, but you already knew that didn't you.

Did you really run off everyone?

Where did you get that picture of the trailer. I bet you traveled "down here" and took it or do they have such places in sunny CA?

Have fun I'm running off before you throw cold water on me.

That can't be Chunx's real house. I know for a fact that he has at least 2 broken cars up on cinder blocks, and a hound dog under the porch. He went to a better neighborhood to take that picture. :-)

Well, I'll be hot doggies, the brug forum might survive after all!! Wowzers, I'm impressed, but poor 2 pugs, she's a sweet girlie, and got all tied up in the 'fight' and what a fight it is, lotz of fun and well worth the read...thanks and keep it up!!

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Sherry, I haven't heard from you for so long. How are you doing? What do you think about that Chunx??? Where did he go??? Did all of us women run him out??? I said before, and I think I am right, that 2Pugs can hold her own. LOL Mary you did good.

Where did you go Chunx???

I think he/she is sitting there going over and over his/her next reply. heh heh

Thanks, Jnette, I have missed everyone - I've really been busy, had all the grands here last week, we all went to church and I told my daughter, 'I bet they think that we think it's Easter', lol. Also went to MS/LA with my bro/wife the week before and stayed several days. Before that, I was riding the roads to find a purple crape myrtle and finally ended up with four, and one that's in intensive care, but might make it too.

As I've said before, I'm with chunx about the brugs, the way I was growing them was, more than anything, boring and disappointing. I've done zero this year and I've had blooms all season, I only have two brugs blooming today, but buds covering about 10, and ready to pop and others with smaller buds. If they get too puny, I rip then out, bu-bye. I haven't used anything for bugs and very little fert, I'm making good my promise to use every product I have before I buy more, and, guess what, I don't even wander through the asiles brousing anymore. I found one I've had a long time Scott's, or Peter's (I've forgotten) 10-10-10, 2 month, slow release, and I've put some around all the plants and I like the looks of it, have no idea why I've never used it until now. The best thing I've done to help my garden is to grow what likes it here and to forget the rest. I've watered lotz, but oh, boy, has it ever been dry - but I always move or add plants in the hotest times of they year, so I always have to water lotz. Fun seeing all of you, happy Wednesday, this morning is cool and breezy but we suspect hight temps later on. Our temps have never been as high as the media has been reporting. In fact, it was reported that a town near here had temps of 109 and families were calling their families there, only to learn that 98 was the temp - no one knows why it's reported incorrectly. Now, I will tell you that if you leave your auto in the blazing sun, for say an hour or so, one day mine said it was 110 and I thought it felt more like 120, but it went down to 94 quickly - I was out in the open on cement...our home thermometer has not gone higher than 95 this summer...

People, this thread has been very entertaining. Thank You. Poor Chunx,, must be hiding under the trailer w/tail between his legs......(or out in the brugs w/hose/fert/bug stuff). I threatened to pitch a J.Pasco, and my garden friend won't let me..... I said fine you water it then. He said he would and would feed it bloom booster...It's still back there, just as ugly as ever. Come fall it is NOT taking up valuable space in my basement. I wanted to tell Jeanette my Mom's mole remedy. -Spearmint gum (not sure if it matters if it's Wrigley's or off brand) - leave the paper & foil wrapper on. Dig into the tunnel and drop a stick every 3-6 ft. Mom left one hole open and put a board on top. She went back the next day with a flashlight and the gum was gone. And apparently, the moles, too. Temps here, like w/2Pugs are triple digit.. I'm about 2-3 hours north of her. Supposed to possibly get some rain tonight/tomorrow, maybe an inch! I'll hope she gets moisture too and without a bunch of wind to damage our already ugly brugs. Maybe if you girls promise to play nice, Chunx will reappear and be a player.....

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Oh Aunt B, I hope poor Chunx comes back also. I enjoyed him so much because he kept my brain moving. He had me hopping to try to outdo him. LOL
Thanks for the mole remedy. I have heard of so many, and yes, that was one of them. Some people would give me one and the next person would say forget it it doesn't work. So, my daughter decided that it must be that they all work for a little while until those nasty critters figure it out. Do you know, they even pulled 2 plants down their hole? One you couldn't even see their hole. The plant was just missing. The other was a Rudbeckia with 4 nice blossoms on it.

I got some mole control from Spray-n-grow I think it is called Mole Out. When I read the ingredients, it was 10% caster oil and 90% inert ingredients. Now, can you beat that? Well, maybe you did with your gum. Isn't Caster Oil a laxative? Boy, if it is I might have a mess out there.

Well, I hope you all get some rain. We could use some too. Might wash the dust off of everything.

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

Jnette plant some castor beans, every since I have been planting them I haven't seen a mole or any there hills anywhere in the yard. It has been 2 years now.

I'm only gone for 24 hours and you people are craving me. I haven't felt this wanted since my stale little muffin crumb Jeanette asked me to the prom. I do have a life, you know. I was stretched out in my Bark-o-Lounger watching the Brady Bunch and Love Boat marathons on TV. For me, there is nothing like sitting in my recliner wearing only my underwear, the remote in one hand and a joint - I mean beer in the other. Pull out the TV tray and have a nice Banquet pot pie and Spam and mayo sandwich on Wonder bread. Now them is good eatins. The only thing missing was a nice cold dish of lime Jello with marshmallows.

I know a lot of you wonder if I'm trying to pull a fast one on you, but nothing could be further from the truth. So to prove it to you, I'm willing to let you all rent my highrise oceanview condo here in San Diego for half of what it normally goes for. I don't use it often, so it's usually available with a little notice. Sorry, no pets, but children are more than welcome as long as they're over 21. Attached is a pic of my home away from home. Come enjoy the fresh ocean air.

And Jeanette, my freshly fallen and worm eaten lotus blossom, I showed you a pic of waterfall before. I guess you wanted a different angle. This was taken at night when I had it's accent lights turned on. Here you go:

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

You know Chunx, you should change that underwear once in a while 'cause the threads wear out from the sweat and beer. Then you get bed sores from that barko. Also, that mayo dribbeling down off of your lower lip that hangs from too much beer makes a stain like a river running down the front of that undershirt.

You must be sitting on that Wonder bread wrapper 'cause those colorful dots stick to your but_ (don't want Dave's minions to censor me with any bad words) 'course you don't have mirrors up there in that $700K highrise that you once called a stucco covered cardboard house. Those dots show when you climb up those ladders.

That waterfall must have been taken in what you call a bathtub and you had a bottle of mouthwash in front of it for color effects.

Have you got that deer gutted yet???? The fish need cleaning and I smell that pie burning!!!!

Ok Chunx, this all started with your Herrinhouser Garten. Think I spelled that right. Anyway, it has been fun and I think it is time to "Throw in The Towel". Hope you get some blooms off of your Frosty and the other couple of brugs you seem to like with holes in them.

Whoops, there I go again. LOL

See you in the forums Chunx, Jeanette

It has been fun, hate to see it end. Have a great day everybody and a better day tomorrow.

Yes it has, but it brings back the memories of when Jeanette and I went to her senior prom. She has her way with me and then dumps me once she's finished. Oh well, I'm used to it being that I'm such a hunk. Adios for now, but not to worry, I shall resurrect.

Sherry - I did have a mullet but found that it too much trouble. I had to wash it every six weeks compared to the every 4 months with this current haircut. BTW, did you get my d-mail regarding the bouganvilla article?

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

What a lovely picture Chunx. You do have such a bright smile.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Hahaha, ain't no flies on you, chunx, lol!! No, I did not receive the d-mail but would enjoy reading about the bougies, thanks...

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

You're asking for it Chunx!! I was letting you off easy but you gotta keep it up. I wouldn't go to my senior prom with you on a bet. Maybe if you put a kernel of corn in your mouth where that front tooth fell out. As far as having my way with you Dave would kick me off of here for sure if I said the things I am thinking.

And Sherry, maybe a reverse mullet might be a big improvement. Hanging right down in the middle of his forehead. Might cover up that big nose.

San Diego, CA

OK, I wasn't going to be mean, but Jeanette forced me into it. I found her H.S. graduation picture and here it is. And she criticizes my mullet!

ROTFLMAO!!! Guess what Chunx? That is a better picture than when I look in the mirror!!! LOL

Love the clothes! Maybe I can find some like that again. I had forgotten them. They were my favorites. And the color of the hair is wonderful. Guess I'll print this out and take it to my hairdresser to see if she can match it. And the style is great.

Also, the teeth sure beat going without like I am now. Makes it kind of hard to eat corn on the cob.

AAH, those were the good old days.
