kittymom, I have never seen them bloom. I have several planted in shoes in my front garden, and they have never bloomed. They are pretty.

M5, didn't anyone tell you to never jump in till you know the depth of the water? Hehehe. Thanks for the link. I think I have it figured out, so will try it out tomorrow night. For some reason my address bar disappeared, but I worked on it for quite a while this afternoon, and I think I got it. If you look at the "test" forum, you will see that I practiced, practiced and practiced some more this afternoon. I am so stubborn, that I will not let something like this get me.

Well, despite the lengthy nap this afternoon, am going to see if I can go to bed and asleep quickly.

Night all.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

My Hens & Chicks down in the tiny rock garden at the base of the driveway flowered last year! Such an beautiful, yet alien-looking bloom. Sad to say, I'm afraid blooming is a sort of "last hurrah" for the plant... but you've got loads of lovely babies all around the one that's blooming, and they'll fill in the gap in no time.

We were at the farmer's market Saturday and got the welcome news that the blueberries are in at Glade Link Farms (about 20 minutes away) and that they're "just wonderful" this year. We got there too late to get a pint, but I'd just as soon pick my own anyway. The farm is such a wonderful place, with great views of the mountains down over the blueberry fields and huge oak trees in the car parking area... once I found it, I realized there was no reason at all for me to plant blueberry bushes in our yard, LOL!

Here's a tantalizing image.... fresh from the oven!

(OK, so this is last year's pie... I promise I will bake a new one asap!)

*Drool* OMG now I want a pie...after midnight is waaaay to late for a Wal-Mart run for me to start baking a pie...

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

That's why it's good to know that those Pillsbury crusts (the ones that come rolled up in the refrigerated section at the grocery store) can be stored in the freezer! All I need is the blueberries... *sigh* (*drool*)

I have to see if I wrote down the recipe, but I got the general idea from a recipe I read at BlueKat's house (was it out of the Pie & Pastry Bible maybe?). It's a simple concept... you take half the blueberries, put them in a saucepan, add sugar to taste... simmer the blueberries so they're juicy and a little soft, then thicken them with cornstarch, making sure to simmer a few minutes after adding the cornstarch so it cooks up. Take the blueberries off the heat and stir in the remaining (uncooked) blueberries. The heat of the cooked blueberries will cook the rest of the berries just slightly so they're nice and sweet, but they will retain their shape. Pour the blueberry filling into a baked pie crust, and you're done!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

the cost of blueberrys down here now it would be a 30 dollar pie...but ohh lordy doesn't it look worth it!

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

good morning and it is early!! 2;26am!! Can't sleep again - actually have been rolling around thinking of all the stuff I have to do and if my watering system will work...always something to keep me awake.

Critt, I make a pie like that - it's called blueberry expolsion- if I remember right it takes 5 c of blueberries for one pie tho!! I just saw them on sale for 99c. a pint - I'm getting some!!

I need to highlight my hair - it is limper than a rag. My beautician always laughs and says if you abuse your hair a little it will be much nicer to work with...well, it's getting some abuse - maybe Mon. night after my day with the girls. I should have done it before I go and see everyone...oh well.

Hope, for heavens sakes, do something about your pain/toothaches!! Makes me cringe just reading about them. I eat ice cream by biting it- crazy habit I know. I must not have sensitive teeth at all!

Molly, that's some visitor. I have a toad that lives in one of my beds and he comes out when I sprinkle - he's scared the pants off me often! He likes to sit and get a shower tho!

Rain swerved and passed by us again. There were weather warnings all around us, but narry a drop here - so that means another day of hauling water...ugh. Our lawn is so brown that even DH set sprinkler in the middle of the lawn, so now we have a nice green patch amongst all the dried up tinder- looks funny.

Well, as the rest of you are snoozing, I'll check out some other forums...

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, I am on my 2nd cup of coffe and now I am lusting after blueberry pie. Nothing like that in the pantry. What to do?

Clinton, IN(Zone 5b)

Good morning all! The blueberry pie looks delicious!! I love it, but I don't know how to make a pie, just cakes and cookies.

Well, this is going to be a nice, quiet week. The kids are leaving this morning to go to their grandma's for the week, so I'll have lots of quiet time to myself while DH is asleep. He works thirds, so sleeps all day. I'm hoping to get a lot of housework done while I can and have it stay clean for longer than on day since there's nobody to mess it up. LOL

I'm off to make breakfast. I think I'm making pancakes so if anybody wants some, there's usually lots of extra. Also have some new coffee that would go great with the pie. It's raspberry chocolate flavored, so try some of that too. It's really good.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Up again to face the day - wonder of all wonders, we have clouds!! Torrential rains coming on Wed...hmmm probably means 20 drops instead of 10!!

Well, we now have coons #10 and #11- got two of them last night. They are youngsters. Sure are using up our extra fish in the freezer quick!

I'm making a pan of brownies to take today - sure not very gourmet , but easy!!

Flr - ahh a week without the kids...and pass me a big plate of pancakes- blueberry syrup for the top? Try a pie, if I can do it anyone can!

pod=-make a mad dash to the store....they have pie all set to eat there!!

time to put the brownies in the oven!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Good morning all. Just dropping in for now. Will be back after breakfast and coffee to catch up.

Have a good day.

Morning~
He's still here. If he was leaving today he'd be on the road already. Help.

My hen and chicks bloomed last year too, but not nearly as pretty as yours. In fact, my DS said "Those are scary !" They've spread far and wide throughout the rock wall, and root so easily. One little chick and the next year it's a mama hen and has a dozen babies.

Everyone is making pies, I guess I better get busy one of these days. I wanted to shampoo carpets today but since we got a big rain (YAY) last night, and it cooled off, now it's kind of dampish. It will keep, like all house work....just sits and waits for you.

Bonnie, didn't mean to jump the gun on you but it was pretty late and I thought maybe you were tired out from all that green beaning so I went ahead and posted the daily. Tonight we'll see if your practice sessions helped. After I wrote instructions for you, my brain kept working on it and I found an even shorter way to do it without editing the new day's. It's even easier than when I was doing it before.

Sammi and Olivia are absolutely nuts this morning. I was trying to catch a few more winks and they were running laps across the bed
and are still chasing around like they've had too much caffeine and are wired. Maybe they are enjoying the cooler weather.

Think I'll get myself dressed and start an escape plan...let's see do I need a manicure? Oh yes I do. And a visit to drop off some clothing I've been collecting....and maybe lunch with DIL. That only takes me to about 2 pm. help.

Morning, Pass the 2x4, I need to use it on me...LOL I answered the phone yesterday and now my week long vacation went...Poofo!! So it's back to work tomorrow, slow flagging, gads how boring but it pays so shouldn't complain, just whine quietly in my corner...Slow flagging is just standing there with the paddle saying "slow" all day long.
Yummmm Blueberry pie and pancakes!! I love anything blueberry. I made some chocolate cookies, they are o.k. need nuts tho. If you are brave eat all ya want, just don't dunk in coffee.
The hen and chicks are pretty. I have a few mini's left in a pot that the birds haven't eaten off and I am hoping that they make it. I think 6 out of 40 or so. I planted 6 six packs of assylum and the finches have taken most of it for their nests...little stinkers.
Need more coffee since I am rambling...bbl...Lauri

Good morning to all! Brrrrrrrrr its cold outside this morning 54 degrees. In July!!!! Well I was telling yeterday I think of a new bed I wanted to put in. Was it here??? Any way DH nixed the ideas by the lilac bushes I had put in. Went to Home Depot and he bought 4 3x5x8 landscape timbers. Yep I get another flower bed. Just not where I had thought. Right smack dab in the middle of the front yard. Where I wanted to put one last year and the ideas was nixed. Guess if its HIS idea. Not complaning though, gets lots of sunshine there and I'm happy. Wish it were a little bigger but hey can't be choosy now, can I???

I can still put Russian sage, peonies and daylilies and a few more other plants so I'm set. For now. Neighbor and I have already started talking where my next bed in the back should be. Greedy? Do I sound greedy?? Hope not, I'm just hooked.

Well more cofee is needed so I'll just post this. Hope sun comes out and warms up some.....I've grass to remove> Before he changes his mind!!lol Bye for now Cherie

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

HI ALL!! Today's an easy day here, just weeding and watering- no running around that i know of. Gorgeous again- 60's to wake up to and sunny

9kitty-I too have never seen hens and chicks in bloom-what a great picture that makes!

critter-love your picture of it too! Fascinating! So it blooms and dies off? MMMmmm blueberry pie!! Ours will be coming soon

araness-LOL at the $30 pie!!

sarv-sorry it's so dry there. We haven't had a drought in awhile, but I remember the last one, and keeping stuff alive was afull time job. I'll say a few prayers and keep everything crossed you get a nice soaking rain...torrents can be bad on dry ground!

Molly-That's a wonderful toad!! He'll eat tons of bugs for you! I have some softball sized ones, and I always find them burrowed in the garden. He was probably keeping cool during the day. They also burrow to stay warm here in the cool weather. They're so great for the garden.

Flowerchild-I am not a cook of much but always get raves on my pies. I use the basic Fanny Farmer recipe, cut in a little extra shortening with a pastry blender, use ice water tossed until it sticks, and roll it out between sheets of wax paper. The less handling, the flakier the crust. You can make several batches and freeze it too. Real easy, and you can't get anything else like it. how old are your kids? Enjoy your week of peace!!

defoecat-had to laugh about "looking back on the wedding with giggles". Okay, we had the surrey positioned at the top of a bluff overlooking this beautiful lake, pointing the way we needed to go (not enough room to turn it around.) Photos were starting at 2, so at 1:30 we walked the horse through scads of of cars, kids, slamming doors, up this steep bluff (thank God for good horses), and began harnessing and hitching. It's a little stressful with all the activity, and hot, but okay....At about 2:15 the brides' daughters, bridesmaids come out, we started the video camera. Then we got 15 minutes of video of her throwing down her bouquet, throwing up her hands, having a fit, fighting with her sister...the photog is standing there waiting to take pics, bride looks so stressed she might get sick....Again, thank God for good horses, he just stood there. We trotted to the waterfall at a good clip (it's a mile) and I could tell even the miserable sister loosened up, they were giggling and saying they'd never done this before. So I was glad they cheered up for the bride's sake.

OMg what a wedding video though....my 15 year old (who would do that too) watched it!

gotta get some kids up, I think they're all working today. When I get the pictures, of which we didn't get many good ones, I'll post.

This is for those interested in the TOAD! Actually Molly posted the pix on Daruis' Out of Limbo thread and I answered it there. I'm going to copy my answers over here because I am a fanatic on this subject. At this point in time they are mainly a southern problem.
Pati

Molly, just make sure that toad is'nt a Bufo Marinus. UUGGG!
http://www.floridagardener.com/critters/BufoMarinus.htm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They are nocturnal and bury up in the ground during the day. If there's a pot laying on it's side they will go in there during the day, and also will bury up in pots with plants. Size is not an issue, they are full grown giants, but have to start off little.

I killed one in Miami that was the size of an 8" dinner plate, and the babies are just over tadpole size. You can't kill them by beating them to death, they just flatten out and then come back. You have to spear them....I use a pitchfork. Be sure you dispose of them.....the poisen lasts even after they're dead.

Go to GOOGLE, type in Bufo Marinus and hit images. Gives you a better chance of identifying yours.

Remember, I'm just a nut on this subject, I lost 4 precious dogs before I declared war!

Wow, everyone is chatty already!

I didn't get my nap yesterday because I turned on the TV and found Antiques Roadshow, but at least I rested. I did make the fried green tomato slices, couldn't eat all I fried but I have one more huge green tomato for tonight.

It really IS a southern thing, like grits. I was born in Miami which was never considered southern, and I like my tea unsweetened but not the powdered stuff in a jar. When I was about 11, we stayed with my stepmother's family in South Carolina while my dad was on sea duty. I learned about fresh butterbeans, fried fatback and a few other southern favorites. I still like fresh butterbeans.

Good morning everybody. I have had my coffee, read the paper, taken a garden walk and am not off to the post office to put some things in the mail. Neatest surprise, DGD, woke us, and she had breakfast ready, the paper on the table, and everything ready. Sweet rolls, yum, they were good. Wonder what she wants? Naw, she's a good kid.

I am not gonna comment, except to say, M5, you are welcome to come camp with me, until BIL decides to depart!!

Well, gotta run, will comment to all later, for now just !~~~~~~.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Hi just to let you know I posted yesterday, was not aware of today's postings

Well, good morning everyone! Sooo did we have a pajama party last night??? Hmmm, guess I should have come on in here. I sure didn't get much sleep ... that's for sure. LOL Oh my goodness ... would y'all *please* stop tempting me with all these goodies? I've been putting up a few blueberries in the freezer ... but I use them for my cottage cheese and smoothies. *Yes I do* And now y'all have to go start talkin bout pies and such. Shame on you. :-)

Meezers, wasn't it you that washed windows last week? Tell you what ... just come on down and you can do my windows this afternoon. That should *easily take care of the rest of the day for you ... oh and also cover for tomorrow. hehehe

I'm not familiar with the hen and chicks. Will have to look them up in plantfiles and learn more about them. I haven't decided what I'm going to plant in my barrel. I think I'm going to wait until it cools off a tad before I plant anything else. We just aren't getting any rain and it's toooo hard trying to keep everything watered. The DH did get me the niftiest nozzle the other day. It really looks like a child's water gun. You just press the gun and it sprays. But the really neat thing is ... if you want it to stay on ... you press the upper half and it locks it. :-)

Lauri ... so sorry about your vacation. I snatched a couple of the cookies though. Mmmmm. Great with my coffee! ;)

Cece congrats on the new flower bed! Don't you just love it when you can make them think it was *their* idea? You go girl!

Hi araness ... great to see you here ... even if it was in the wee hours. Guess you're sleeping those weird hours again?

McCool ... how is your DH this morning? Please give us an update.

Susan ... did I read correctly on the number of hosta? My goodness girl ... how in the world do you get around to getting it all watered? You* do* have some sort of watering system, right? I know you said they were in pots ... but still you can't be doing that alone. Does your arm ever bother you anymore? I hope all of them thrive and you don't have any problems with the virus that's going around.

Okay, it's taken me forever to type this ... and I'm sure there's been a zillion others since I've started. LOL Think I'll just post and ~~~~ at everyone else for now. Will try to come back and catch up after while.

Well, I previewed anyway ... and this is for Bonnie ... I started typing first ... so I have first dibs on Meezers!! LOL LOL

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

All dressed for the noon time bash...brownies baked and I have 3 qts of cherry juice in the canner. This is batch # 3 and each one is different.. DH already had 2 qts of juice. grrr he will have them all down the hatch before Sept!!

Have on a cute black top, but it is cut in a V in the front and I will be yanking it up all day - off to the bedroom to change!!

sarv ... have you noticed how low cut the tops are these days? Oh and skimpy? My goodness what are we gob's suppose to do? LOL

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

show off Elaine, lol

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Tops? What about the bottoms? Everything seems to be low rise, and fits just under what my DS and I call ...Murphy. Ya know that lump that just sits there around your navel, that won't go away, in spite of sit ups etc. Now there's a sight for sore eyes. Hanging on to all my old jeans that fit at the waist where they belong. Finding GOB clothes that don't look like they came from Omar the Tentmaker is a real challenge.

Molly is on a toad hunt!! How about putting some nice pots near the entrance for him to hide under in the day time, maybe that way you could trap him and take a better look. Yikes, big as a dinner plate, all you'd see of me would be my heels as I fled.

Blueberries are sooo expensive here this year, a little 8 oz. container is $2.50. I hope I can find some on sale, I like them in pancakes and muffins. Or out of my hand....frozen ones seem to lose something in the process.

Housepest is behaving nicely....must have scared him good during the last visit. The fact that he's not drinking seems to have improved his attitude and demeanor. Sarv, I could hop the ferry to Muskegon... and be there for dinner...what's cooking?

Shameful confession: I like washing windows. Of course I wait until they are totally disgusting, so I can see the vast improvement when they are clean! I did find the best window cleaner I ever used at Linens and Things, it's called Perfect Glass, and it's a one swipe cleaner with NO streaks. I use Windex or house brands for mirrors and stuff inside the house, but for the inside of windows that's my brand.

Need to get outside, I have four leftover petunias to stuff in the planters I filled yesterday. Now they will be overfilled!

Later
Sheila

Wow, am I ever the lucky one since I called dibs on you first then Meezers! What day are you free? Oh you're gonna just looove cleaning my windows! LOL

Maria now shame on you! LOL LOL I have nothing to show off ... and have to battle that little extra around my waist. No matter how much I lose ... it's always there. *sigh* One of my sister's says she got Mom's legs as she has bad veins ... but I got her shape. :-(
~~~ again to you, Maria
Well, am going to get something accomplished today.
Waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)
Hello again. Went out and removed grass where bed is going. I am so worked up over this and want to start planting now. But I know I have to wait. DH will more than likely put together the new frame for the bed when he gets home from work. Then I'll be off geting manure compst and topsoil to add the the bed. Everything that I am planting in there are transplants and divisions. I knew I was planting everything too close when I planted them but wanted the beds to fill in quickly, but not this quickly. DH figured since I refuse to sell my divisions this year I might as well make a new bed. I will eventually divide and sell or give away but not till I have all the beds I want. There is a couple more areas I'd like to see new ardens but maybe I should give it a rest for this season. No since in risking irritating DH. He's pretty easy going most of he time and he doesn't every really tell me no. He likes to give me a hard time then pretends to relent. There's no sense pushing my luck though. Know what I mean?
Yeah I've seen the skimpy ops. Good thing I'm a t-shirt and jeans person. Not much to show off but love handles. My DD wears the tops, irritates the heck out of her DH. I swear thats why she buys them. She's always pushing his buttons.
waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)
Cece If you are looking for sale plants, the Sunnyslope Nursery (on Sunnyslope Rd, across from Eisenhower H,S. in New Berlin,) has all their plants on sale right now. We picked up two flats yesterday....not that we needed them but we're cramming them in here and there. If you take i43 north, get off on Moorland, go north on Beloit Rd. to Sunnyslope, make a left on Sunnyslope and keep your eyes open, Its on the east side of the road. Nice people, nice plants.
Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)
Hi all,
I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had a chance to do even a quarter of what's needed out in the garden, but have decided to post now to answer all of your kind inquiries on DH's health. He's actually been pretty good about keeping off his feet (despite the fact that he's bored to tears) and that says to me that he's a bit scared though he'll never admit it. I got a look at his feet when he changed the dressings earlier today and I think they're looking better, but there's no way they will be completely healed in a couple of days. At least some of the swelling and redness has gone away and so far he hasn't had any of the bad reactions to the medicine that often occur. (I've got him eating active culture yogurt as a precautionary measure. Why is it that the doctors never seem to mention things like this to the people they're treating?)
The visiting nurse is supposed to "visit" tomorrow and change the dressing for him. I think he has another appointment with the podiatrist on Wednesday. We're just hoping that this doesn't mean that he can't go back to his job at all. If that's the case, we'll be back to square one and in rather bad shape financially (and will, of course, loose the health insurance again.) Guess we'll cross that bridge if and when we come to it. For now, thanks again for asking after him.
I'll plan on getting back later to respond to others, but just have to go try to get something accomplished outside.
TTYL!
E. McCool
P.S. Oh yeah, have a great trip, Maria!
Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)
Good morning. You all talked a lot over the weekend! It will be a while before I can catch up, but I'm trying.
Molly, I hope Mr Toad doesn't turn out to be one of those bad guys.
And, speaking of toads, Meezer, isn't this "company" the fellow who was once called the Bother-in-law? Maybe he has something else somewhere else that he needs to do very soon. Meanwhile, I have lots of projects you and I could tackle together if you need that much diversion.
I hope Maria has a nice trip, she probably won't be around to read this.
Dmc, what a great wedding carriage!
I have to go to town soon to get some medicine for Breezy's cough. I was told that I can get it at a feed store but I checked one on my way home yesterday and they didn't have it. There are 2 feed stores I can check here in town and then might have to go to the vet to get it.
The ride was interesting and fun, this time I didn't ride but crewed for the team at one of the outchecks on the trail. I drove my pickup out of camp loaded with buckets, plastic tubs, folding chairs, hay, grain, soaked beet pulp, ice chest, lunches, etc., went 8 miles farther up into the mountains to the vet check, unloaded everything in a nice little grove of pine trees (a nice shady spot on a scorching hot day) and was all set up and ready when my teammates came in. While I waited for the team I helped the ride management by pulsing horses as they came in and recording times on their vet cards, filling water bottles for a few riders, stuff like that.
When my teammates started coming in I directed them to our crew area and they were pleased to find things all set up. I figured we wouldn't have more than 3 at a time so I had set up stations with a pan of grain, beet pulp and cut up apples and carrots on top for each horse, a bucket of water, flake of alfalfa hay, and a chair for the rider right in front of all that so they could sit down in the shade and hold the horse while he ate and eat their sandwich at the same time. I refilled their water bottles, washed down their horses legs, helped with all sorts of little things, sent them off down the trail with peanut butter cookies, and then when one would leave I refilled the feed pan to be ready for the next horse.All riders had a 45 minute hold there, regardless of the distance they were riding. During the day I crewed for about a dozen horses and riders. When things were slow I went back to taking pulses as other riders came into the vet check. When all my riders had left I packed up everything and reloaded it into the truck and drove back to camp. We still had one teammate on the 75, and all the rest of her vet checks were in camp.
When I got back to camp I only had about 5 minutes before the 75 mile rider came in. She was looking pretty hot, so several of us put her in the shade in a chair, gave her salt tablets and plenty of water, cooled her off with wet towels, and I went looking for a cooling vest to borrow, found one, got it wet and we put it on her. Her horse was standing in the shade eating, and after half an hour they were ready to go back out to do another 15 mile loop. The next time she came into camp she looked better, had another half hour rest and went back out to do the final 10 mile loop. She started the ride about half an hour after daylight and finished in the dark. It was a very tough ride! Everybody on our team finished the rides without major problems, and the team earned a lot of points. We all had a good day.
I had taken Patch to have a vet/chiropractor look at him, yes he was out of adjustment, and was put back together. The vet was explaining what she had done, asked me if I understood the pelvic problem and the adjustment she did, I told her I had the same thing!
The ride management provided a dinner of bbq'd salmon, ribs, oysters on the half shell cooked on the bbq, salad, bread, fruit, desserts of several kinds. UMMMM good! You should have seen the stampede when they announced to the waiting hungry horde that we could eat!
Well now, I have to head for town. ~~~ back later.
Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)
Yes, I am still here Mary, thank you, am leaving in two hours
Mary, I'm sorry you didn't get to ride this time ... but gosh that still sounds like fun to me. I mean ... getting to be on the other end of things for a change. And I'm sure everyone appreciated it so much. Also, since you've been the one on the horse ... you know all too well what is a welcomed relief when you get to the check point. Oh and the supper does sound like one that would make the crowd come a runnin! :-)
Meezers, have you noticed how everyone keeps trying to steel you away? You sure got mighty popular when you said you had extra hours to fill ... and then you just had to go say something like ...
quoted
"I like washing windows."
LOL LOL
McCool am glad your DH seems to be improving and am saying prayers that he will be able to go back to work. I know how tough it is making it on 1 income ... and while we have been blessed ... there have been many lean times. I am glad that the Diabetes came back negative. That is definitely a plus! Please do come back when you have an opportunity and keep us up to date.
So sarv ... are you back? Tell us what you had for lunch. Any ice cream?
Oh Bonnie ... so sorry to keep you in suspense. I noticed this morning when I went back over to yesterday's thread that I never told you about the delicious peach ice cream I had. Yum! They had all sorts of goodies also and fresh boiled peanuts. That's another southern thing in case some of you aren't familiar with it. ;)
Hi Darius ... you don't have much time to chat since you're so busy with your new home. :-) I drop in on your thread from time to time but usually don't post.
Well, got to get up from here. ~~~ to all I've missed.
Waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)
Thanks for the tip M5. I need more plants like a hole in my head but what the hay its summer!
Have a great trip Maria and be safe.
I am beside myself wanting to get started on that darn garden bed. I have to wait til hubby gets home to frame it in and then while he's doing that I can take the car and get what I need to put in there. Not fun having one car. If I don't get up at 4 in the morning I don't get it soooooooooo I wait and wait and wait. So frustrating. What can I say?Meezerfive is there different perennials at this place than what most others have?Maybe I'll check it out after DGD goes home. Speaking of which DD will be bringing her soon so I had better go eat a bite now. With Ariana around no-one gets to eat. I don't remember my 9 month olds being so demanding. I had 4 of them. Oh well, DD and her DH cater to her because with one you can. She'll be singing a different tune with the next one, if there is a next one. SIL says he thinks one is enough. This from a man who said he wanted at least 6. lol
Bounty! I saw the Asplund men nearby and got a free load of mulch delivered! Might get more tomorrow but probably not a full load as they are almost finished out here.
Also, I FINALLY have a real chair and a desktop for getting online. Much work yet to do on the office, which I will share with my sis and her computer/stuff. My big 4 drawer lateral file cabinet is still in NC so won't have a place for files for some time. Sis's house has not even been shown, doesn't bode well.
