I have a beautiful fuchsia in my south-facing window that has huge flowers on it, but it is turning yellow and losing leaves. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Birdie
fuchsia is dying
to much water????????
South facing window is a no-no. Fuschias like shade and moisture, but not over-saturated :-)
They also make poor houseplants. Hang it outside under a tree where it will get dappled shade and NEVER let it dry out, keep it consistently moist. Think of the climate of England or the Pacific northwest and this will give you an idea what kind of conditions they like (require), then think of your dry, hot, sunny, south facing window....OUCH!

Thanks! I thought that I was doing it a favor inside because we have such a hot dry windy climate here. I will move it now.
Also, do they like much fertilizer? I haven't done that yet.
Birdie if your plant is suffering outside try bringing it indoors in the cool where it will get light but not direct sunlight.
I think I'll try moving it to a window with indirect light.
Thanks for all of your help.
