I took it upon myself to start this one as Part 3 was huge!!! I hope you all don't mind. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/620934/
I wanted to share a few more pics that I took this evening. I love these Hydrangeas...they are all from the same bush!
What's Growing, Part 4
Anita ~ They are ALL so lovely. And your quite the shutter bug too I see! What program do you use to be able to put several photos in at one time? My son was interested when he saw your pictures and wanted to try it.(he's a self taught comp. brain) I just watch him! LOL
I would have guessed 3 different hydrangeas. That's pretty neat. and wonderful, vibrant colors on the lilies and other perennials, Anita. It's like opening a brand new box of Crayolas! Great way to start Part 4.
gram
I second that Gram!
Thanks everyone..Gardening, photography and crafting are my passions. I even get to combine all three!
Pixie, the program I use is called LumaPix FotoFusion. http://www.lumapix.com/
Andy - the pears look ready now! Do you make anything with the grapes? I've always loved the look of grapes on a trellis.
Thanks Al :) I posted them [echinacea's] for you! I love the Calla's. I wanted to get some this year, but they were asking so much money for them. I was surprised.
Anita,I never saw a green lily before. What's the name of that critter?
Andy, you wouldn't be a Monty Python fan by any chance, would you?
That's what my wife calls 'her' bed, but who built it, bought the plants and put them in......hmmmm I wonder.
Anita - you're on way with the coneflowers - just buy one new kind a week to further your collection.
McCool - I think the lilly you are referring to is yellow - it is a Stella D'Oro
Sounds like a plan Al
Al, You have 70 dahlias, how many coneflower?
Anita, beautiful, as always! What kind of "unnatural light" do you normally shoot in?
Impressive! I guess I don't collect cultivars of a plant (more of a smorgasbord kind of guy). My most would have to be roses and that is very recent.( Up until a year ago I avoided them). Now I have about 10 types, twice that if you count mini roses
Thanks Dave - natural light as it was getting dark, but I didn't want to use the flash. It makes it difficult to focus.
Anita ~ Thanks for the info on Lumapix, my son is downloading it now and can't wait to play with it!
Al ~ I just bought 2 new coneflowers: Sunset and Harvest Moon, do you have them? Would love to see pics if you do. I can't wait till mine bloom!
You're welcome Pixie - if he likes that and enjoys messing around with photos, he might like this one as well. http://www.fo2pix.com/main.php
I have Sundown -which came out after Sunset, but is Very similar
http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/116656/
here is Harvest Moon, which is darker than Sunrise
Thanks Al, and Elegant Candy is beautiful.
I like Harvest Moon - a bit of orange in it.
I can't believe I didn't 'watch' this thread. duh, gram! kinda cool, though, cuz there were pics to catch up on.
Andy, I had Reliance grapes. They were really good...the few we actually got to eat. The cardinals REALLY liked them. I put a net over the vines. The female cardinal still got in and I was afraid she would get stuck. Then, too, the grape bunches were full of spiders because the birds couldn't get to them to eat the spiders. We finally gave up and pulled them out. But it was a fun experiment and they did grow well.
Al, that Elegant Candy is a beauty. I'm liking the Candy series more & more. I find the form very pleasing.
Guess I'm more like Dave, don't really collect any particular flower....I'm an eclectic gardener. Not too tough to count to 3 LOL Love 'em all.
gram
Way to go Pixie - isn't is great? Keep up the great work....

Anita, If I get any grapes (after what Gram said) I will just EAT them, lol.
McCool, I used to be a fan of Monty Python, yes. Some phrases kinda stick in the mind, you know?
My Hens & Chicks are going to bloom. I've had these since I was a kid. I always grab a few when I move. This will be the first flowers EVER, in 50 years.
Notice how they are growing on the asphalt.
I know someone else on Cape Cod with the same ones, they are doing the same for her, first time ever too.
Andy P
Congrats one your blooms Andy...that's neat. Monty Python??? Get me a shrubbery!
Anita ~ On the last frame of flowers, what's the white one down in the bottom left hand side? My husband really likes how it "clusters" as he put it.
That's a Lantana Pixie - they are great tolerants of heat and drought.
Pixie, Love the DL's on the last thread, Sure are some 'Dark' purples, They always stand out so nicely!! That pic of celosia "Blue Angel" was awsome too!!
Anita, Beautiful pics of the Blue Hydrangea, lillies, And other blooms!!
SK, Your Seckel Pears look healthy and like tney are growing nicely!
