I had a stressful day but it was worse for DH! He managed to whack himself in the head with a post driver. I got an emergency call at 2:40 so got off my call and called home. Dan (17) said Dad hit himself in the head, etc., the ambulance had just arrived and I was to meet them at the hosp. So that's what I did. Turned out to be not as severe as first thought. Bad enough, I wouldn't want it. The outside cut is abt a long 1.5 inches. Inside is longer and deep. Doc got it closed with 5 double stitches. He said doubles hold better when the cut is wider inside than outside. We got home abt 5 pm. I wanted to get off early cuz I have some stuff to do for the parade yet tmr but that wasn't how I planned on leaving early! Too much stress! and pain for DH!! It was a long 20 miles to the hosp, I had no idea how severely he was hurt. I guess we all gained a few more gray hairs today.
Now I have to get abt 80 registration forms ready for the parade so I have to get at it. Nite all!

We came from over here.
Now grab a cup, pour yourself some coffee and tell us your plans for the day. Let us not forget those who have fought for our freedom, and remember that this is what this day is about.

sorry, I jumped the gun!
:)
Been a long day, I'm wound a little too tight to sleep yet. :)
He'll be fine, the cut joins up with his old scar from abt ten years ago. That happened when he was out in the truck, unloading those round bale feeders. They come split in half circles and he had just taken the belts off the load when a guy jumped on the trailer to 'help'. That was just enough jiggle to dislodge the top feeder and it came down and knocked him out! They picked him up, took him to the hosp. Dr did a lousy job of cleaning it out because it was a wide 'y' shape and the point in the middle was turned under and the dr left it that way. Five years later, he still had bits of yellow paint coming out once in awhile. Now this cut hits the end of the 'y'. Goofy or what? Today's was totally his fault, not paying attention to what he was doing. Always hold the handles on a post driver!! I found a pic online but DH's handles are about half the length of this one. http://www.hooverfence.com/tools/post-driver.htm
Take it easy and pay ATTENTION! :) Night!!
