Welcome back Sweezel! We're glad you're joining in. Ya know lot's of people really like that "Socks" tan. Make sure you wear knee highs all summer for an even better effect.
Ok I went to bed w/ a headache and you guys have hijacked my movie! Look w/ all those Die Hard movies under his belt I am pretty sure that CeeJay and Bruce can be the rescue crew- it's going to be messy but I am sure that I can work in a love scene...CeeJay and Bruce are covered w/ slime, their skin is moist and and has a strange greenish hue...Bruce's hand brushes innocently against CeeJay's and she looks at him w/ hungry eyes...
Murmur, the scene you wrote is definitely (sp) in! I liked it. and yeah City Sylvia can be mayor, I like that! Don't get me started on the SL garden club, they are the folks that you love to hate or hate to love!
Oh yeah, make sure I get April, no one else could do it better! LOL.

We need to work in a pirate scene with Johnny, I'll fix him up a good pirate outfit, it may take a few days of trying on and misc alterations. heehee.

Stinky gardening nuns, from our prior conversations. The calendar thing came about as a way of making enough money to lure the high $$ sexy men to star in our movie.
I honestly don't think we need to raise the money. As soon as they see us they'll volunteer their services for free! LOL
Anyway, the calendar would still be fun. But I doubt Dave would approve.
I also need to go to work, but can't wait to see what has transpired while I'm away!!! Thank goodness I only work part-time!
I don't know where the nun thing started (it was BC - Before Carole aka Murmur), but after fly_girl shared a photo with me via dmail, they just had to be worked into the story!

Oh, I'm at work too......see how hard I'm working? Just got back from lunch....no nursery visits! Bummer! It's too nasty outside. Besides, I said no nurseries at all this week in case the succulent police come looking for me. I'm hiding out at work. They'll never think to look for me here.

My middle client canceled so I came home to tidy up the house, etc. But guess where I am? Yup. The housework can wait. However, I may have to plant the things I received from Wayside a couple days ago - such ridiculous, compulsive purchases!!!
Maybe we could fit in a 12 step meeting for obsessive/compulsive plant buyers in the movie? The "gentlemen movie stars" we've mentioned could be there to help us with our steps. (Gawd, I'm a nasty old lady.)

Yes CeeJay, Bruce can look at you w/ hungry eyes if you like just stay away from Johnny and Brad. So far I haven't even worked Brad in but he needs to be dressed as he was in Troy! Oh man I could watch that every night and not get bored!
Yeah Kristi, you're right once they get a look at us they will happily do this film! Maybe Brad has dreams of directing and he could be my co-director dressed for Troy! Yeah, that's the ticket!
My Johnny scarecrow will be dressed as a pirate, without that beard thing. But, I will have the parrot on my shoulder, scarecrows don't scare parrots, did you know that? There will have to be other props like a treasure chest full of exotic and expensive plants. We can split those.

Thank you K, April didn't make me feel very welcome. Any who, I love to purchase plants. Especially when I'm anxious, scared, sad, hungry, excited, sleepy, well as you can see.....about all the time. So, I just drive to the plant store and the cycle begins.
Yes, I think most of us can relate. Personally, I spend most of my lunch hours at a nursery. I knew I had a problem when I realized the staff knew me on a first name basis. Do you dream about your plants, is it obstructing your sleep? For me, the fix is taking more cuttings. But it's gotten so bad that now, I'm digging things up in my friend's and family's yards. Sometimes....I can't believe I'm telling you this.....I get up really early when I know my brother is asleep and I drive over there looking for seed pods. I do it in my neighborhood too.
Well, I guess I'm the only one that really worked today!!!! And I don't even get paid!! Just got home from working late to fill out the reports. Man, was I busy!! Could have used some help, youse guys!

Ceejay, you are more than welcome to send some work my way! I can type reports for you etc. (I used to do all my school related work from work). When the cat's away......which is almost always. You can send me stuff on my personal email and I will be MORE than happy to have something to do.
CJ, just relax, take a few deep breaths, think of Bruce and his hungry eyes, oh, you might want to get in there and fix him some dinner, that's what my DH's hungry eyes mean lol.

My name is April and I am a plant addict. I like to buy plants all the time. If I am not buying, planting, sowing seeds, taking cuttings, fertilizing, watering or talking to plants I am searching web sites for them, looking them up on DG or trying to trade them w/ other DGers! When we moved into this house my family took bets on what I would do 1st, unpack the house or plant the yard...I couldn't help it, the yard looked like crap! Like any of you would have done the house 1st!
No problem April, we're all sistas. I surf the web looking for deals, 2 for 1's, half off sales, discontinued hybrids, last years colors. It's not just plants, but mostly. The other day I bought a goldfish because he only had one eye. I know this has nothing to do with plantaholics, but I wanted to talk about it. He's real pretty and it kind of looks like he's winking at me from the pond. I think he really would if he could.

Okay . . . my name is Murmur (somehow that doesn't help matters) and I am a plantaholic (in addition to a couple of other 'holics'). I also am buying, planting, sowing, taking cuttings, fertilzing, watering or talking to plants in real time. Then there is the internet and all of its catalogs and the promise of instant gratification. If all else fails, I make lists of plants that I have and try to remember how many places I have them planted.
Sigh . . . to top things off, I found DG. And the cycle increased tenfold.

I think the one-eyed fish should somehow join Ceejay and Bruce (the "Seer" chia head) as a hero of some sort. The one eye thing and all. Fly, can you put a patch on him? That would make his character really stand out. You know....Bruce can "see" for him and knows the goldfish's thoughts in his own "chia" way. Not something normal folk can understand. But this fish knows things beyond human perception. And while Ceejay ad Bruce are "hungrily" looking into each other's eyes, Bruce is receiving messages from old "one eyed Goldie". Bruce looks to Ceejay and she knows that the time has come to fill that Master Blaster Plant Disaster........oops. I did it again, April. Sorry.
Now, back to the calendar....hehehehehehe. If we raise enough dough, we'll get that glass eye for Goldie.

That's sweet K. The question is: can Bruce and CeeJay work with a one-eyed fish? Most actors would say, 'no'. If they knew him they would love him. I appreciate some of the profits going toward 'the eye'. I think he'll wear the patch, he's comfortable in the pond because he knows the other fish, but in the 'real' world...well, we'll see.

NO you have it wrong, you missed the perfect spot for the gold fish! I know that list for the prosthetic eye is long- tell you why in a minute- anyway make a tiny patch and then he can be in the photo w/ you and Johnny (completely) dressed as a pirate/scarcrow... don't those some how go together? Ok I had a cat, she died 2 years ago and I am still mourning the loss so no laughing here. She was a tortous (sp) shell and I didn't know it but they are prone to some bad dental problems. Anyway after many years this poor loving kitty had to have all of her teeth pulled. It was so sad, can you imagine this poor kitty w/o teeth? I know that tears are welling up in your eyes and if they aren't they should be. Well before I would consent to the surgery I asked the vet to put her on the list for false teeth...she died before she reached the top of that list. It seems that animals just don't rate for for things like false eyes, false teeth, hair pieces, acrylic nails...I don't know what kind of cruel people run those lists but my poor kitty went to her grave w/o teeth...the funeral director said she would have been more life like in her casket if she had those false teeth and that's why we had to have a closed casket.
Excuse me, I have to go compose myself...I am still so emmotional over this whole issue...and I worry about getting the keyboard wet...

April, I'm so sorry. Yes, my eyes are wet. That must have been horrible to go through. I also had a tortoise shell many, many years ago. Did you know that only females are tortoise? I'm sure she was a spectacular cat. They only can be. My condolences. Cats souls just seem to stay with us forever. We never forget each and every one and their particular individual ways.
We won't go with the prosthetics.....even for a fishy. Lord knows, we have many buried in the back yard and have engaged in many funeral ceremonies for the various fish. The toilet never seemed proper.
Wow, want to get together this weekend and share cuttings, memories and a margarita? We're close enough for lunch or a quick happy hour.
I was thinking maybe we could use the calendar profits for the pet prosthesis list. For now Goldie, his real name is Winkie Dink, will just have a patch.

I also had a tortoise shell - her name was Wanda because she wandered into my yard in 1994, then when we moved here in 2002, she wandered away - broke my heart. She was a sweetheart, but definitely not a rocket scientist type cat.
