I WANT SUNSHINE!

So. Puget Sound, WA(Zone 8b)

Whew! I got the Mighty Plant spraying done. ;·﴿ Sigh, the clouds are baaack. ;·﴾

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Good for you, now lets hope the rain holds off so it can do its job...

Viv

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

It only needs 30 minutes to work before it can rain. :o)

Viv, thanks for keeping your hail! ;o)

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Oh I didnt keep it.... I sent it on it's way.... last I saw it was headed toward Puyallup.... hehehe
Viv

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, at least you sent it east instead of south. Thanks! ;o)

Olympia, WA(Zone 8b)

I agree with MGH re: thanx for South!

The Sun...The Sun Is Out!!!

[...okay, who foundsacrificed the virgin?!?]

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I didn't think there were any of those left in the world???

Olympia, WA(Zone 8b)

TIFF,
NOOOOOO!!! You got it WRONG, virgin are sacraficed to keep the SUN AWAY!!!!

Best,
Bluelytes

MGH, None left but you, TIFF, and me!!

Now we see what the problem is: Bluelytes has rounded up all the virgins and has sacrificed them to the rain and cloud gods. You're working against your friends, here, bluelytes. Didn't you ever hear of teamwork? The rest of us will have to find some other sacrifice to make.
If we have another spring/summer like last year, I am seriously considering moving somewhere else for retirement. I want to feel WARM all the way through my poor body!!
Last year we went on a family trip to southern Utah at the end of May. It was heaven!! I lay on the desert floor and baked and my body felt more alive there than it has in years here. It felt so good I could have cried.
Actually I don't mind the rain showers, as long as they are brief, hard, and then the sun comes out. Like today. It wasn't too bad here. One big shower about noonish, then puffy clouds and sunbreaks the rest of the day. None of that total grey sky blanket stuff.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

LOL, bluelytes! I'm not quite sure how to respond to that one!

Olympia, WA(Zone 8b)

MGH,
hehehehehe

False alarm...looks like a virgin wasn't sacrificed after all. The clouds are back.

Likely the recent definition of 'virgin' is taken too literally by today's youth. They can do all kinds of things and still consider themselves one. I'm sure this is the problem in terms of our sacrifices.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

You are exactly right about that, Pixy. I saw a show a few weeks ago where they were talking to a bunch of young girls about that subject. I was shocked at what I was hearing. Yes, I realize I am 20 years older than most of the girls they were talking to, but I never would have considered doing half the things they were doing. But then, I guess that is another thread and on another website, cuz I don't think this is the place! LOL

Yeah, I don't think specifics would be good!

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

LOL

Issaquah, WA

I am aware of a virgin of sorts- He is a 27 year old guy I know who is addicted to video games and sci-fi conventions. I believe he would pass any definition of virginity. Though, purity is another matter.

Granted not a fair skinned maiden.. but desparate times call for looking at the bottom of the barrel.

I WANT SUN SUN SUN!!!!!

Chris

West Richland, WA(Zone 7a)

We've got plenty of sun over here east of the mountains and a whole lot of heavy wind to go with it! My peas were blowing off their poles yesterday and my cilantro was sideways. We've had a near record amount of rainfall this June but our grass is green and my veggies love it! The weather is beautiful here. Catch me in August when I am complaining about 95 degree+ weather. Not to mention ugly and brown, brown, brown. I would love to be over on that side enjoying the overcast skies and cool weather (permanently)!
-Stacey

Well, come on over Stacey! And bring some of the sunshine with you!!!

Chris, any virgin will do in a pinch. Do you think we have to throw him into a volcano?

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Hey we have a volcano...... hahah!!!!!
Viv

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

OK WHO DID IT!!!Which one of you found the virgin? I've had sunshine for 3 straight hours.... yahoo

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Viv

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

'bout 2:30 this afternoon the black clouds parted and the sun has been shining ever since. I tell you, I became a 'new woman' with the warm bright sun shining. I got out and painted the old picnic table and benches. (6:30 pm).

Wow! Thanks, Chris! Great virgin you found! Who knew we only had to look for a star trek fan? LOL!!
What a beautiful day it was!
Viv, I THINK that buttefly is called a painted lady. That's the first thing that came into my head so I'm sticking with it.
Chris, which volcano did you sacrifice to?

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Great day,, hope tomorrow is as good...
Viv

Lakebay, WA

Morning news said sun today and I can see it trying to peek through the clouds. Not sure how long it will hold, but it is more than welcome to stick around!
You forgot about the virgin living with his mom .... video game/computer nerd, lives with parents, part time job only because a real job would interfere with the Star Trek conventions.
You throw that kind of a virgin in a volcano and the gods might throw him right back out!

Olympia, WA(Zone 8b)

MARI,
I know of a guy in port orchard that EXACTLY FITS that description, unsure re: the "virgin" part, however, but the REST fits, ;) lol.

Volcanoes are taking what they can get lately! that's why we've had such mixed weather. they have mixed feelings about accepting the recent definition of 'virgin'. :)

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

OK today was pretty good, nice sun late afternoon.. now let's try for a full day of SUNSHINE!!!

Viv... I'm cold^^^^^^^ goose bumps

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Ok, I have to admit, I'm enjoying the sunshine, but I would REALLY like it if it rained at least one day a week....at night! LOL

here's my chant for you, Bluelytes:

Grey skys, grey skys, rain rain rain,
Bluelyte's chants will be in vain!
Warmth and sun energize your brain,
