Does anyone know what to put on black mulch so it prevents slim mold, and doesn't harm te surrounging plants?

It doesn't hurt your plants... are you sure you want to get rid of it?
It looks gross thats why. I had it a couple years ago. As I recall I think all you can do is keep your mulch fluffed up to let the air in and don't put mulch down every year so it has time to breakdown and not be this thick wet mat which allows yukkies to grow.
