Rain rain and more rain-we really needed it though. I tried to dig yesterday and it was to hard! now i have puddles everywhere and 56 right now

bernie i seen snow forecast for wisconsin!! are you going to get any of that?
I best not i planted 8 tomatoes yesterday "outside"!!! still have tons to plant ---lol

My son is now in vegas and ive been crying for almost a week now!! :(

It's been nice here. All the gardens are up to date & growing great. We've had enough rain.
Some farmers are having trouble with wet fields. This is "God's Country" so we always come out good!
Fishing opener is Saturday in MN, so we need this cold stuff to make the city slickers stay in check. Can't have them fishing in nice weather,LOL!

Expecting rain today, the clouds are closing in. I am building a porch so I dont want the rain........oh oh oh and the best part I am getting soil tomorrow GOOD SOIL and make flowerbeds in the frontyard. So I can sit on the porch and look at all the flowers :))

I have not fished since moving down here in 1981. I fished to much when I lived in the north country.
I have a friend from here that has lived in Vegas for about 5 years. He lived in Cal. before that. Doing very well in Vegas. He is not a gambler, though!
Just out in the greenhouse, another mouse in the trap. They like to dig out squash seeds & make a mess. Last year one did in 250 watermelons!

good morning everyone - I knew I would find the "chatters" somewhere in Dave's Land

I have been following an interesting thread about garden art...interesting to see and hear about what folks put in their gardens. Anyone like to share? I collect stone frogs and have them tucked in and around my flower beds.

Man I really wanted chat this morning. going to the dentist at 1 so I have all morning to think about needles. EW but the good thing is they are takingout my last two wisdom teeth and I wont have to worry about them anymore.

its 61 this morning and overcast, gonna get some very much needed rain. I love the smell of rain on a warm day.

On the topic of kitschy garden art. I'm also following the "taste-free" thread and just lurking as I've got my own views (lol, no surprise) on garden art. As a revolt against kitsch and plastic I'm making a tornado consisting of as many plastic lawn flamigoes as I can buy. Gnomes and all kinds of ridiculous things are involved in the project including a barbie doll dressed in a black leather teddy inside a birdcage and a plastic mickey mouse wearing handcuffs....lol. What I need is some plastic moustaches of famous and infamous folks to glue onto certain other characters. I've always wanted one of those kitschy garden angel things with a Salvador Dali moustache...lol.

drdon - laughing, laughing, laughing. Would love to see pictures! FYI, just returned from a trip to San Diego to visit my brother and we took a side trip to the Temecula Valley Wine County. Love it! Enjoyed the wine tastings very much. Had some shipped home of course. You live in a very beatiful part of the country.

Well, that's disappointing. I've been experimenting with a new chat system since DG is now operating across 4 servers. It's a long story but it'll be a while before I can get chat working flawlessly again (hopefully it'll be ready by next Tuesday).

We can chat all day here. I was off to the coffee shop for a while. Going to plant cucumbers & gourds in trays for the garden.
I got to give Dave credit, he does a heck of a job keeping this thing going with all the people on here.
